Rennie Foster, the son of Katherine McPhee Foster and David Foster, seems to have musical talent in his genes from his parents and is definitely looking forward to inheriting it.
On January 5, David Foster shared a video of his 2-year-old son, Rennie, where he’s seen expertly playing the drums. The video was captioned “Drumming into the New Year #still2yearsold.”
Rennie’s video of sitting behind his name-imprinted drum set and jamming to the song played by his father is totally adoring. The way he tries to catch on to the lyrics and play the drum accordingly has left the viewers amazed, and their reactions were well witnessed in the comment section of the post.
Having expertise and talent in just two and a half years can only be said to come from the genes of his well-known and talented parents.
David Foster’s son Rennie shows off his talent
On Friday, January 5, David Foster posted a video of his two-and-a-half-year-old son, Rennie Foster. The video of the little Foster was very adoring, where he was seen behind his red drum kit, on which his name was imprinted.
He bangs out a drum solo while wearing black headphones, and David is seen in the video sitting parallel to his son on a couch and watching him proudly.
David captioned that video of his adoring son that read, “Drumming into your new year, #still2yearsold.” Rennie’s parents were not the only ones who adored him, but also the viewers who watched the video, and the reactions were as amazed and adoring as they were witnessed in the comment section of the video posted.
This isn’t the first time fans have gotten to witness the talented son of Katherine and David Foster. Earlier in October, Katherine shared a video of her son playing on his drum set as he was trying to keep up with the beats while being barefoot and wearing noise-cancelling headphones.
Road Katherine Road posted a caption to that post, which read, “POV: Your 2-year-old baby shows off his drumming skills.” Following that caption, she also teased Blink-182 drummer Travis Barker that he has some upcoming competitions in the future, as she wrote, “Coming for you, @travisbarker,” jokingly.
Katherine and David also shared their thoughts about their science and musical talents in October 2022; they said they think he will be interested in musicals, but they don’t know. Foster, at that time, had said, “Kids strangely will do something for a while, and then it’ll amaze you, and then they just drop it, and they don’t do it anymore” to people.
According to Rennie’s parents, they don’t know if the drumming thing is going to stay, but, if being truthful, they would rather think he has a tennis racket in his hand than a drumstick. Further, they added, “I did; if he ends up being a drummer, that would be great too. He loves watching our drummer, JR Robinson.”
Rennie definitely seems to leave his parents being questioned multiple times about his talent, as previously, in an interview with Entertainment Tonight, Katherine and her husband raved about their son’s musical abilities, where Katherine said, “It makes sense that he’d be musical,” to the outlet. She mentioned that “he’s totally obsessed with the drums! Or imaginary terms, for that matter.”
Still, Catherine and her husband think that the sun is too young for them to declare if he will follow their full steps in the music industry or something else.
To make that point more understandable, they gave the example of Andre Agassi and Steffi Graf’s kids, who are very talented but not tennis players like their parents. That’s why they still don’t know what their son is going to be as well.
