Kaguya-sama Season 3 Ultra Romantic is the continuation of the prolonged battle of wits between the Student Council’s President, Miyuki Shirogane, and Vice-President, Kaguya Shinomiya – both of whom like each other and are attempting to make the other confess to them, believing that confession is a loss in the war of love. After a two-year hiatus, Kaguya-sama: Love Is War is back, promising an even wittier and more entertaining season 3.
Komi Can’t Communicate season 2 and Shikimori’s Not Just a Cutie are two huge standouts in the Spring 2022 Anime season, which is shaping up to be a solid one for slice-of-life and romantic comedy enthusiasts and Kaguya-sama is pioneering this year. Kaguya Sama: Love is War has stayed true to the manga and has never strayed into filler territory. However, it intermittently goes back and forth in displaying Kaguya’s and other major characters’ flashbacks, which are mixed in wonderfully.
Furthermore, without any prior occurrences, it is more difficult to comprehend a character’s personality and even more difficult to track their progress. Season 2 concludes with the last chapter of Volume 10, while Season 3 begins with Volume 11.
During the “Kaguya-sama Wants To Tell You On Stage” special event on October 25, 2020, an original video animation episode and a third season was simultaneously announced for production. The manga’s twenty-second volume, which was released on May 19, 2021, came with an OVA. The return of Kaguya-sama Love Is War for the third season is perhaps the most eagerly anticipated. The show, created by A-1 Pictures, is based on Aka Akasaka’s great manga series, which is nearing its conclusion.
Anime lovers need not fear, as the series still has a lot of material to cover, with previews confirming that Kaguya-sama Love Is War season 3 will adapt the much-anticipated Devoted Hearts Festival arc. The third season, titled Kaguya-sama: Love Is War -Ultra Romantic-, will premiere on October 21, 2021, with returning staff and cast members.
