Netflix is all set to come up with another one of its magical k-dramas in May 2022. Starring some of the most popular names in the world of k-drama, ‘The Sound of Magic’ will be hitting the TV screens on May 5, 2022. And with the release date nearing, the production team has released new stills for the k-dramas. Looking up to its name, the teaser stills looks magical and dreamy. Starring Ji Chang Wook, Choi Sung Eun, and Hwang In Yeop, the k-drama follows three high school students having a hard time of their own. But as one of them meets a magician, things begin to change.
Based on the infamous 2010 webtoon “Annarasumanara” by writer Ha Il Kwon, the story is a fantasy music drama about the story that unfolds when the mysterious magician Lee Eul. As the magical meets the high school student Yoon Ah Yi and Na Ill Deung, things take a hard turn. The new stills show Lee Eul taking Ah Yi and Ill Deung on an adventure. Along with the high school students in their natural habitat i.e. the school. Releasing the stills, director Kim Seong Yoon has also shared his thoughts about the k-drama with the audience.

High school student Yoon Ah Yi has no idea about the whereabouts of her parents. From what she has heard, both her parents ran away. Her father because of the debt collectors and her mother because of some unknown reason. Financing herself, she takes care of herself and her little sister all by herself. Having no one else but herself, Yoon Ah Yi ranks near the top of her school academically and dreams of having a stable job one day. Her classmate, Na Il Deung who is forced to have dreams, is her competitor in academics.

He’s been gradually losing himself as he follows his parents’ dreams over his own. And it doesn’t take long for the two to realize their feelings for each other. Meeting the magician Lee Eul at an abandoned amusement park, Yoon Ah Yi starts finding the comfort that she had been looking for. From having no idea what the two students want, the two go on to start to open their eyes to the world. But things weren’t as easy as they seemed. As the still shows, the two students did not trust magician Lee Eul at the start. They were suspicious of him until he showed them the extravagant magic that makes them forget about reality.
From the high school students feeling lost and having no direction to meeting magician Lee Eul, the stills of ‘The Sound of Magic’ gives a look at the plot of the k-drama.
Director Kim Sung Yoon and The Cast Talks About The K-drama…
Talking about the upcoming mini k-drama ‘The Sound of Magic’, director Kim Sung Yoon revealed that he’s focusing on the vibe that makes the viewers forget reality. Mingling with the director, the actors also shared their thoughts on their roles. Loving their own and each others’ characters, they even complimented their co-stars. Complimenting the hard work of the fellow actor, Ji Chang Wook talked about the ‘True Beauty’ fame Hwang In Yepp. He revealed that to become the charismatic Na Il Deung, the fellow actor created synergy after meeting his character. Choi Sung Eun went on to compliment fellow actor Ji Chang Wook as his energy matches his character Lee Eul even in real life. While Hwang In Yeop complimented Choi Seung Eun as she can bring out the best emotions.
‘The Sound of Magic’ will premiere on May 5, 2022, on the streaming platform Netflix. The mini k-drama will have a total of 6 episodes, with the new episode released on Fridays every week.
