tvN’s “The Midnight Romance in Hagwon” has released new stills showcasing the past narratives of Jung Ryeo Won and Wi Ha Joon, adding depth to their characters’ backstory.
Directed by Ahn Pan Seok, known for the acclaimed “Something in the Rain,” “The Midnight Romance in Hagwon” explores the complex relationship between academy teacher Seo Hye Jin (Jung Ryeo Won) and her former student Lee Joon Ho (Wi Ha Joon).
After leaving a large company, Joon Ho returns to the academy as a rookie instructor, driven by unresolved feelings for his first love.
The freshly released stills show the history between Seo Hye Jin and Lee Joon Ho. Seo Hye Jin, always a guiding presence by Lee Joon Ho’s side, and Lee Joon Ho, whose admiration for Hye Jin never wavered, are depicted in their youthful and innocent years.
Other images show Seo Hye Jin diligently studying next to a sleeping Lee Joon Ho, symbolizing her relentless pursuit of dreams even while working as an instructor.
The production team commented, “Following the project, both characters will face unforeseen changes within and outside of Daechi Chase. As they spend more time together and grow closer, their commitment to protecting one another solidifies.
Watch for the evolution of their relationship as they face these changes and their feelings become even more apparent.”
“The Midnight Romance in Hagwon” airs every Saturday and Sunday at 9:20 p.m. KST, promising to charm viewers with its heartfelt narrative and the evolving dynamics between Seo Hye Jin and Lee Joon Ho.
