The second season of Jujutsu Kaisen is getting a compilation movie in 2025, which will focus on the Hidden Inventory/Premature Death arc.
This arc, which was the first part of the second season, delved into Satoru Gojo’s past and was originally presented in five episodes before the season transitioned into the Shibuya Incident arc.
The main cast from the anime has returned for this movie, maintaining continuity with the TV series.
The anime, known for its high-quality animation by Studio MAPPA, is led by Director Shota Goshozono with support from Ryota Aikei as the assistant director.
Hiroshi Seko is responsible for the series composition and screenplay, while Tadashi Hiramatsu handles character design.
The show’s sub-character designs and art direction are managed by Sayaka Koiso and Junichi Higashi, respectively.
The music is composed by Yoshimasa Terui, contributing to the intense and atmospheric soundtrack that the series is known for.
The anime has been well-received for its gripping storyline and impressive animation, and the upcoming movie is expected to enhance the experience for fans by bringing together the highlights of Gojo’s backstory.
The original manga, written and illustrated by Akutami Gege, has been a major success and is licensed in English by VIZ Media.
The anime, including the upcoming movie, is available on Crunchyroll. The story follows Yuji Itadori, a high school student who becomes intertwined with curses after consuming a cursed object, Ryomen Sukuna’s finger.
This action propels him into a world of sorcerers and curses under the guidance of Satoru Gojo. As Yuji battles curses to protect others, he faces the consequences of his actions, leading to an epic and inescapable journey.
Meanwhile, Studio MAPPA has also announced a similar compilation movie for Attack on Titan’s final chapters, set to premiere in Japan in November.
