Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 Episode 13 Recap And Review
Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 Episode 13 saw the full fight of Choso against Yuji from the manga and did not diverge even for a moment. The episode begins with Yuji rushing toward where Gojo has been sealed to get to the prison realm however, he finds himself with a very terrifying sight of the cursed spirits and the transfigured humans attacking people and it seems like a massacre.
Yuji is worried and says that he won’t be able to unsee and this moves on to where the Gojo is but, to his surprise Inumaki appears there and tells Yuji to move forward in his own weird words and Yuji leaves without worrying about the situation.
Coming inside the subway station, Yuji is surprised to find no one at the place but there is some unexpected and it is Choso who is enraged at the site of Yuij and immediately attacks him.
Choso Vs Yuji Begins
As Choso sees Yuji he immediately attacks Yuji with his cursed techniques that let him manipulate his blood. The technique that Choso uses is the convergence of the blood which allows him to compress the blood at a point that it is very lethal and if used as an attack, it could be very lethal the technique is called Blood Piercing.
As the projectile attack gets closer to Yuji, he tries to block it with his hand which instantly makes him regret it as the attack pierces through this hand and Yuji deflects the attack before the attack goes through him rendering his left hand useless with a hole in it.
Yuji instantly gets closer to Choso to avoid the attack and thus, a close combat battle takes place. After getting close to Choso, Yuji attacks tries to attack him and lands a punch that Choso blocks and remarks on the double impact that he does.
Yuji tries to maintain being close to Choso and even though he is able to get close and is about the land a blow, there are blood droplets float around and explode at Choso’s commands. Thus, Yuji is not able to attack Choso at all and the latter gets a distance once again.
Yuji admits that if he gets hit by the piercing blood attack once again, he might die if his instincts are wrong and therefore leads Choso to attack him which the latter does and Yuji barely dodges the attack and tries to get closer to Choso once again but it doesn’t help.
Yuji Gets Choso on his turf
Mechamaru’s device once again starts to work and he explains to Yuji about Choso’s technique to the latter in a simple manner and how it is similar to the Kamo’s technique. Yuji asks if this technique has weaknesses but Mechamaru not that he is aware of but he does have a plan that might work or it will have Yuji dead.
Upon Mechamaru’s suggestion, Yuji barely manages to get inside the nearby toilet and Mechamaru provokes Choso to get inside the toilet by calling him a coward like his brothers. Choso is enraged and follows Yuji to the toilet even though knowing that it is a bait and sees there is water dripping from everything and it looks like it is raining.
Choso destroys the Mechamaru’s device but Yuji appears from behind and kicks him inside the toilet area surrounded by water dripping from everywhere. As Mechamaru predicted the blood manipulation isn’t working at all outside of Choso due to being exposed to water, it dissolves with water very fast.
Therefore, Yuji gains confidence in the battle and an amazing hand combat sequence follows inside the toilet of Shibuya station.
Choso Almost Kills Yuji
The close combat battle continues and thus, Yuji gains confidence in the battle as he lands three hits on Choso who is inexperienced in closer combat however, just when Yuji thinks that he could win this fight, Choso hides a technique that he formed and not let it exposed to water at all and that pierces Yuji’s liver.
Yuji is instantly aware that something very vital has been hit and reckons that he is going to die but he says that it doesn’t matter if he dies as there will be someone else that will get Gojo and his role for now is taking out Choso at any cost and converts the fear energy into his curse energy.
Thus, follows another amazing close combat sequence and Yuji has Choso on the defensive only using his right arm and makes it closer to land a blow from his left arm that Yuji hopes to see that it will stop Choso for good but to his surprise Choso has covered his right side with his technique and injures Yuji’s right arm and knocks him to the wall.
Seeing Yuji is still alive, Choso goes on to kill him and Sukuna berates Yuji for losing to such an inferior opponent but Choso suddenly has some strange memories of the past that he never had. In his memories, he sees his brother alongside Yuji as one of the brothers and leaves the area. In the credits of Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 Episode 13, Mimiko and Nanako find Yuji alive.
