Jujutsu Kaisen Chapter 231 is going to be dropped very soon, and it is gonna be so epic this time also. Coming off from the previous chapter, we saw that Sukuna summoned Maharaga inside Gojo’s Domain. While Sukuna took the Sure Hit Unlimited Void, using Dharma Chakra, so that he could pass it on to Maharaga so that he could become adapted to it. Rendering the technique and Gojo’s Domain is useless.
After breaking the domain, that brings us to the beginning of the last released chapter, where we see Mei Mei saying that that is Maharaga, the trump card of the Zenin Clan.
With this, we see Choso saying that the Shikigami with the ability to adapt to any attack, where Yuuji asks him if, by this, he is mentioning that he can even able to adapt to Unlimited Void.
With this, we find out that in his battle with Yorozu, Sukuna used Maharaga’s adaptation ability for himself in order to see through her construction technique. The Domain Expansion’s Sure-Hit effects canceled each other out a total of five times. Gojo Satoru’s Sure HIt Effect targeted everything that was inside the domain except himself.
This also means that the Sure Hit Effect targeting Sukuna was still in place. He continued to make in Unlimited Void five times, all while shouldering the burden of Maharaga’s adaptation, and the one who actually bore this burden was…
Jujutsu Kaisen Chapter 230: Recap and Review
After the summoning of the Ten Shadows, it gets really interesting because we don’t really know how the Ten Shadows work and where the Shikigami is coming from exactly.
Like do they create them, or do they always exist in the Ten Shadows? It says the Ten Shadows that it manipulates is an intermediary for the Shikigami. This is like there always exists somewhere out there in other worlds, and Ten Shadows summon them.
It is possible that it has the ability to bring them to the Human World since Gege is heavily inspired by Togashi, more so like Hunter x Hunter, but Togashi also made YuYu Hakusho, and if you remember, he had the Dragon of the Darkness Flame, where he was able to do something that is similar to the concept that I am talking about here.
This is where he uses his power to basically bait the dragon of the darkness flame from the Spirit World and then uses its power in the Human World, but going further, we have been talking about these last weeks with Sukuna taking the hit from the Unlimited Void, with the Dharma Chakra activated, so that he could pass it on to Maharaga, so that he would become adapted to it, without having to take the hit himself, because Maharaga probably wouldn’t be able to survive.
However, now we are getting another layer to that whole sequence because it was not actually Sukuna who took that hit initially; it was actually Megumi’s Soul. So the way that I see this sequence, or from what I can gather from what is being explained here, is that instantly, he switched himself with Megumi’s Soul.

This is like when we think about Yuuji and Sukuna’s trade consciousness, and I think that he did that with Megumi for a second, just long enough for him to take the Unlimited Void hit and then swap him back out.
