Are you guys excited about the release of Jujutsu Kaisen Chapter 218? Well, we are here for you!! The recent chapter was amazing as always because we gave got a lot of laws behind Sukuna, and I think this fight between Yorozu and Sukuna could potentially lead those finally into that juicy Heian Era flashback that we have been craving so very badly.
The latest chapter opens up where it left off with Sukuna and Yorozu facing off in the stadium, with Yorozu saying to Sukuna that he looks at things he has a serious advantage over that incarnated body, and she bet he could switch that face back whenever he wanted, which I think is the direct reference to Sukuna’s original body, which we have seen a glimpse of a few times that form with this four arms and faces.
I am a firm believer that Sukuna can go back to that form, wherever he pleases, a Dragon Ball Z type of transformation. I don’t think he needs the other five fingers to go back to that form, wherever he wants we already saw a glimpse of him switching, where he transformed and ripped Angel’s arm a couple of days ago, and also Kenjaku and Yorozu have now also mentioned that he can switch his face back or if he was going to switch is face back, so I do believe that he can transform with his free will, and we will probably see that if someone pushes him far enough within a fight.
The last chapter is actually filled to the brim with Sukuna, he goes on to mention how the same could be said to Yorozu, I can only assume that if you are powerful enough, you can manipulate your vessel back to potentially your original form.
Jujutsu Kaisen Chapter 217 Recap
Later in the chapter, Yorozu and Sukuna carry on talking with Sukuna saying to Yoruzu that she can not possibly that she is going to survive against him, and the two start right away, and I wanna point out, how different Sukuna is and seems with this interaction seems playful almost he doesn’t seem his usual evil ink on itself when he was interacting with Yorozu.

The interaction between Yorozu and Sukuna reminds me of Yor and Loid from Spy X Family, it is like this weird love-hate relationship but it is a relationship nonetheless, Yorozuu exclaims how Angel was there and she didn’t notice his presence, and I am assuming she means like on the rooftop, Yorozu goes on to says how the percepts and the hatred that was born from them could never surpass the power of love.
This was where we saw even further into the depth of Sukuna and Yorozu’s relationship, she goes on to say if Sukuna is defeated by her, and he manages to survive, what will Sukuna give him, and Sukuna replies with “everything”, and maybe I am reaching here but this talk of love and giving something everything reminds me of a lot of Uta and Rika if there is some sort of connection there may be in these lines, and the way that they are typed out in the way that is spelled out.

After that Sukuna goes on to say how it is unthinkable that he had lost but if he does, defeat is no different from death Yorozu from nowhere asks about marriage and Sukna says she can do as she likes. The way that these two interact is really well, we see a side of Sukuna in this chapter, that we have never seen before, and I almost wanna say it is a softer side, which as it sounds, because soon Sukuna and being so soft, just don’t go hand in hand.
Sukuna and Yorozu’s Wedding
When Yorozu hears this and takes this as an agreement, goes into a frenzy saying how they will free villagers at least for their wedding and start to plan the events of the reception, which include decapitating the most handsome men in the village and hanging their heads, yeah, very normal stuff here.
We also see a flashback of three heads hanging on a tree, and this could be a nod maybe, it is Yuuji, Uta, and Gojo’s, they are the three people, I think of who could potentially have the potential to fight with Sukuna and maybe defeat him, and it could be reached on this one.
Later, we also find out that Uraume is also a reincarnated sorcerer and obviously we knew that Uraume is from the Heian Era, but now we have official confirmation that they have actually taken over a body and it seems as if Uraume has been body-happen, in a similar way to Kenjaku, and this is not gonna like confirmed by anyone, but it is actually insane to think about, and I don’t think a lot of people have thought about it.
Many of the people in the fandom mention how Uraume has actually managed to stay alive for this long, but now that Yorozu said that Uraume is reincarnated, and must mean that they have been swapping bodies around, the same way, Kenjaku has been doing it, maybe not the same way, but in a similar way to Sukuna, we don’t know, but it is an interesting piece of detail right there.
We also get to find out that Uraume was and is Sukuna’s chef officially, we did have Gege tell us this during the interview once, but now we have a confined within the manga, and we also learned that Monkey Brain Pottage is either Sukuna’s or Yorozu’s food, and this somehow reminded me of Kenjaku, as he constantly refers peoples as a monkey.
There is one more detail that may confuse people, as it confused me, Yoruzu and Sukuna seemingly snuggled up in a panel and I can’t tell if it is actually happing or if it is all inside of her head, because the look on Sukuna’s face, makes me think that it is real, because he looks disgusted, and if she was imagining this happy reality, maybe Sukuna would actually crack in this one, and wouldn’t feel as if Sukuna wouldn’t just let Yorozu get this close, especially when she is actively trying to kill him.
right after all this, Sukuna summons his version of Divine Dogs, he summons multiple of them and they have taken on liquidy form as well, and then he also has one that appears from his cloak, his cape basically that one barely boy because this one looks like a fusion between a gorilla and a bulldog. It is one monster boy, but Yorozu ends up easily avoiding those launched accounts attack overall.
Yorozu suddenly stops her attacks and asks Sukuna if the technique he just used, was his or the vessel’s technique and why isn’t he using the “Shrine”, instead, which Sukuna says he is doing all thing to completely sync Megumi’s soul, he needs to cross Tsumiki’s body with the Ten Shadow Technique, to carve the scar into Megumi’s soul.
