Jujutsu Kaisen Chapter 209 titled “Offering To The Unknown” dives two days back before the fight between Kenjaku and Yuki, where we see the American soldiers dropping into the culling games areas. Then we see Kenjaku and Uraume in a conversation where the latter discusses the hidden rule of the culling game that is allowing the soldiers to enter the colony and calls it a bug.
Whereas, we see the soldiers across the colonies making their way inside the hideout of the sorcerers and stunning them and killing them if they refuse. A competition is also going around the soldiers of many sorcerers can different groups capture the sorcerers. Another group who comes last at the rendevous point informs the soldiers that they encountered sorcerers that are too powerful and have led to many of the soldiers’ deaths.
The real reason for the death of the soldiers is revealed when Uraume guesses Kenjaku’s plan to have the soldiers or non-sorcerers enter the colonies willingly and get killed. In addition, he has also released cursed spirits throughout the colonies at night that will be hunting the soldiers. Kenjaku’s reason for doing so is to generate cursed energy for his big plan and having non-sorcerers die in the colonies would increase his chances.
At the end of the chapter, we see a group of soldiers encounter Itadori’s group and they are perplexed upon learning that the soldiers are not Japanese and they are willing to kill them as well. Megumi plans that they must capture them and ask them what is going on.
