Jo Bo Ah might be joining Kim Soo Hyun in a new black comedy drama titled “Knock Off.” Industry insiders reported on May 16 that Jo Bo Ah is being considered for a role in the series. Her agency, XYZ Studio, confirmed the news, stating, “Jo Bo Ah received an offer to star in ‘Knock Off’ and is reviewing the offer.”
“Knock Off” is set to explore various stories about counterfeit luxury items. The series will be directed by Park Hyun Suk, who has previously worked on acclaimed dramas such as “Forest of Secrets 2” (“Stranger 2”), “Uncontrollably Fond,” and “Song of the Bandits.”
Alongside Jo Bo Ah, other notable actors such as Kim Soo Hyun, Kim Si Eun, and Yoo Jae Myung are also in discussions to join the cast. Jo Bo Ah has been offered the role of the male lead’s first love, who works as a customs officer.
Jo Bo Ah made her acting debut in the 2012 drama “Flower Band” and has since built a diverse portfolio with roles in popular series like “Tale of the Nine-Tailed,” “Military Prosecutor Doberman,” and “Destined With You.” She is also preparing for the upcoming release of a new Netflix series titled “Hong Rang” (working title).
