Jinxed at First recap and cast
The drama revolves around Soehyun’s character Seul-bi and In-woo’s character Kwang-soo. Kwang-soo runs a fish shop with his mother. Meanwhile, Seul-bi too lives with her mother, Mi-soo, and both of them have the power to look into the future just by touching someone. For this reason, the duo remains confined in a posh house with a chaebol. One day, Seul-bi is able to escape and has a fateful meeting with Kwang-su. Kwang-su takes her away to the countryside in order to help her. But Kwang-su’s mother is able to notice something. She sees the necklace around Seul-bi’s neck and is reminded of something from the past. Also, when Seul-bi is with Kwang-soo, his wheel of fortune seems to run at full power.
Though Seul-bi’s freedom doesn’t last long as goons are chasing after her to bring her back to the hotel. As soon as Seul-bi leaves, a cloud of misfortune drops on Kwang-su. Firstly, he’s taken to the police station on suspicion of kidnapping Seul-bi, and later, his mother dies too in a car accident. He further loses his chance at a scholarship, and when he goes to scatter his mother’s ashes, he is struck by an object on his head. Though he is saved by a fisherman. The man is kind enough to take care of him and advise him to change his identity, or he might be attacked again. He gives him the name Go Myung-seong, which was his late son’s name. Myung-seong is hailed as a sign of misfortune.
