After beating Dominique, Jaekyung was able to hold onto his title as the strongest despite his shoulder injury. However, it was thanks to the relief that he got from Kim Dan on the night before due to an accident. However, the accident ended up being of great help and will play a significant role in Jinx Chapter 41.
Yoon Gu has started to appear more and more in the Yaoi series despite not being of great importance to the duo. However, as a supporting character, he is done very well and is the only companion to Doc Kim Dan. Kim Dan needs all the friends he can get, as being friendless has been the greater part of his life.
Moreover, Kim Dan didn’t even have that many associates before meeting Jaekyung, the Black Gym, and its members. Everyone there treats him with the great respect and care that he has not been shown anywhere else in life. He used to be only targeted by the bad crowd, but that seems to have changed these days, thanks to his relationship with Jaekyung.

Jinx Chapter 41 will show us that Kim Dan has finally been bewitched by the charms of Jaekyung. Everyone was accepting and wanted Jaekyung to be the one to fall for Kim Dan. However, Kim Dan hasn’t shown what he can offer to Jaekyung other than the services of a doctor and that of Jaekyung’s Jinx.
It would be a long while before the romance between these two would even take off, as three is a power imbalance. Jaekyung is the one who could provide any sort of safety, comfort, and harmony to Kim Dan’s life. However, the Doc can only do what he is told and hope for the best for himself and the MMA fighter, even though Jaekyung would have Kim Dan stand up to him.
Jaekyung’s honest interest in Kim Dan rose when the doctor jabbed him—and the time when Kim Dan punched him in an official match when Jaekyung was distracted those two moments led Jaekyung to realize that Kim Dan is not a mere pushover. And it might also be the reason why the MMA fighter likes to push the doctor whenever he can.

Jinx Chapter 40 started anew, not starting where the series left off in the last chapter, with Jaekyung showering. The MMA fighter had to prepare for the day ahead and was also looking forward to it despite being anxious earlier. It could be said that it was all thanks to the remedy given by Kim Dan last night.
Though, not even Kim Dan is not aware of the events that took place in the night as he was drugged. Moreover, he was so tired from the exercise that he didn’t even get up on time, and nobody woke him either. However, it was mainly because everyone wanted to let him rest for the day and not disturb him.
The Romance story lead woke up sometime after everyone had left for the main event and was frightened when he looked at the time. Kim Dan hurried up and made for the venue as soon as he could. He met Potato (Yoon Gu) after reaching there and was informed as to why he wasn’t woken up and that he was right on time.
