We will see the story now moving forward to the MMA fight that was promised a few chapters ago. However, there was quite a distraction in the latest chapter, and it was the one that made the reader want. And there is a huge possibility that Jaekyung’s big match might not even happen in Jinx Chapter 40.
The last few chapters of the series have been a bit of meany to one of the main leads of the Yaoi series. Sure, Kim Dan goes through all sorts of troubles, but in these past few chapters, he is treated as a doormat. And no one treats him worse in that department more than Jaekyung, and he doesn’t even try to hide it.
If anything, over the chapters, Jaekyung had gotten more and more ruthless with Dan while showing kindness here and there. Everyone is gunning for Kim Dan to subdue Jaekyung and turn him good in the long run or by the end. But given how many turns this series takes (and how popular it has gotten), their conclusion is very far off.

Jinx Chapter 40 should see the characters focus on the fighting aspect of the series and prepare accordingly. The romance series had been about Jaekyung’s frustration ever since the article about his shoulder was made public by someone. We don’t know who is the person behind the rumor, but it is clear that they are someone close to the characters.
However, it doesn’t matter who the leaker is. What matters is whether or not Jaekyung could win the match. It’s clear there is a party that wants Jaekyung to lose, and they even went so easy to drug him. However, that drug was taken by Kim Dan in the end, which led to a lot of fan service.
The coming chapters will see if Kim Dan has woken up from the effects of the drug and is sane again. Given how potent it was, chances are there will be some after-effects of the drug in Kim Dan. Though it will be up to Jaekyung what to do about it in the future, his fight should be the main focus first.
Recap
Jinx Chapter 39 started where the last chapter left off, with Kim Dan on top of Jaekyung and begging. This piqued their interest in Jaekyung, and he wanted to see how far Kim Dan was willing to go with this. So, instead of agreeing to Kim Dan’s request, Jaekyung made Kim Dan ask him to do him favors.
Being in the state Kim Dan was, the doctor decided to go forward with the request as he saw no other choice. Jaekyung was surprised at how easy it was to get Kim Dan to comply with this, and he enjoyed every moment of it. The usual reluctant Kim Dan is giving his all to make Jaekyung feel good, but he is not doing it without a return in mind.
Jaekyung realized that he had toyed enough with the meek doctor and put him out of his misery. Though, it could be argued that to the MMA fighter, it was all the same. He was getting the better deal out of the exchange. Moreover, he had something on him to mess with Doc later, probably in the time when Kim Dan has come back to his senses and realized what he has done and said.
