Aaron Rodgers has accused talk show host Jimmy Kimmel of having ties to Jeffrey Epstein, and Kimmel is thinking of suing Rodgers. The allegations first surfaced during Rodgers’ appearance on the Pat McAfee Show, wherein the topic of an impending list of prominent figures purportedly associated with Epstein was deliberated.
When 40-year-old Rodgers said, “A lot of people, including Jimmy Kimmel, are hoping that doesn’t come out,” in a video that went viral, Kimmel threatened to file a lawsuit.
Jimmy Kimmel replies to the accusation
Kimmel responded on his X account, which was formerly known as Twitter, after seeing the video. He said, “Dear [Aa–hole]: for the record, I’ve not met, flown with, visited, or had any contact whatsoever with Epstein, nor will you find my name on any ‘list’ other than the obviously phony nonsense that soft-brained wackos like yourself can’t seem to distinguish from reality.”
Kimmel confronted the accuser head-on, expressing worry for his family’s safety in light of the thoughtless comments. He issued a warning, saying that a courtroom discussion of the facts would be necessary if such comments continued. A few hours after Rodgers’ remarks attracted a lot of attention, someone tweeted the interview clip.
PEOPLE contacted representatives for Kimmel and Rodgers for comments, but no one responded right away. It’s important to remember that ESPN, the network that televises The Pat McAfee Show, and ABC, the network that broadcasts Jimmy Kimmel Live, are owned by Disney.
According to multiple sources, a list with more than 200 names that are thought to be connected to registered sex offender Jeffrey Epstein—who committed suicide in August 2019 while being held at the Metropolitan Correctional Center in New York City—will soon be made public by U.S. District Judge Loretta Preska.
According to ABC News, Judge Loretta Preska mandated that the list’s unsealing begin after January 1.
The list includes people who worked for Jeffrey Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell
According to reports, the list includes people who worked for Jeffrey Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell in the past, as well as people who had flown on Epstein’s aircraft, such as Prince Andrew of Britain and former President Bill Clinton. In the interview, Rodgers said, “I’ll tell you what, if that list comes out, I definitely will be popping some sort of bottle,” expressing his excitement for the list.
Throughout the chat, McAfee informed viewers that Rodgers’ remarks were probably a reaction to a joke that Kimmel had made in March regarding an earlier McAfee segment that featured Rodgers.
Kimmel had called the segment, which included discussions about Epstein, UFOs, and aliens, “Green Bay Wack Packer Aaron Rodgers.” Kimmel made a lighthearted suggestion after the video, saying, “It might be time to revisit that concussion protocol, Aaron.”
Ghislaine Maxwell, Epstein’s associate and ex-girlfriend, received a 20-year prison sentence for sex trafficking in June 2022.
She had been found guilty of enlisting, luring, and transporting minors—some of whom were as young as 14—for unlawful sex acts with Epstein. Sarah Ransome, a survivor, called Maxwell the “real enforcer” who manipulated and shaped everything.
Jeffrey Epstein Sex Abuse Case
Jeffrey Epstein entered a guilty plea in a Florida state court in 2008 for soliciting a person under the age of eighteen for prostitution.
Prior to his presidential ascension, Epstein had maintained contacts with a number of prominent individuals, including Bill Clinton and Donald Trump. He was given a 13-month prison sentence, most of which he spent working from home at his Palm Beach office. He was also expected to register as a sexual offender.
Following his arrest at a New Jersey airport on July 6, 2019, Epstein was the subject of a fresh federal indictment. According to the charges, he “sexually exploited and abused dozens of minor girls at his homes,” with the incidents taking place in Manhattan and Palm Beach, among other places.
