Jimmy Kimmel had his first “Jimmy Kimmel Live” in 2024, which he concluded by clearing out the trash he had received over the false comments made by the NFL star, Aaron Rodgers, last week on his oftentimes visited Pat McAfee show on ESPN.
Somehow the conversation between McAfee and Aaron took a turn towards the court release of documents that had a list of names associated with Jeffery Epstein, a billionaire sex trafficker.
Marking the false comments of Aaron, Kimmel said, “I’ll accept his apology and move on,” though he expects that he’ll never receive one. He went on to say jokingly that he “has done the impossible. He made the New York Jets look even worse.”
“Out of the blue,” Jimmy Kimmel sheds light on Aaron Rodgers’ false comments in his 2024 first live show.
While Jimmy Kimmel pioneered his first episode of ‘Jimmy Kimmel Live’ in 2024, he also laid his hands on the false comments made by NY Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers, as the NFL star had included his name in false information.
Kimmel was up for a tic-tac level of energy as he made a bunch of jokes in relation to Rodgers’ expense, which was, in actuality, a display to the conservative people who don’t agree with us of the tactic of calling a political opponent a vile name as they “re-think being a part of that group.”
The ABC late-night host shared that, though he doesn’t expect to ever receive an apology for falsely suggesting that he is a pedophile if he does, he’ll accept it and move on. Keeping his tic-tac-level energy awake, he jokingly said that Rodgers “has done the impossible. He made the New York Jets look even worse,” marking it as something nice that he has to say about him.
Driving back to square one, which has paved the path for all this, is when, on January 2, Rodgers made an appearance on his oftentimes guest show, Pat McAfee’s ESPN show.
They started having a conversation that took a turn to the then-pending release of court documents that had a record of the unredacted names of the people who were associated with Jeffery Epstein, a billionaire sex trafficker.
This wasn’t a lonely thought during the same discussion, he also added. while pleading to celebrate once they were out and had implied that Jimmy would have been one of those people who were outed as a participant in Epstein’s sex trafficking crimes.
Prior to the release of the actual documents, a hoax document was circulating around online; that’s where it came from. Jimmy, in response to all these, made it clear that he has never been associated with or connected with Epstein or anyone from among the names included in the documents. Jimmy had also threatened Rodger with suing him.
The whole matter was under the concern of Jimmy and had clearly disappointed him. McAfee came up with an apology, which can barely be considered an apology, in which he defended Roger by saying that he was “just trying to talk s**.” Even after all the issues have arisen, Rodger has still made no public comments.
Coming back to today, Jimmy, in his first show of 2024, brought up the whole matter. As he started the live show, he said, “Thank you for joining us on our first show of 2024.
Which is already a crazy year, particularly for me,” following which he explained the whole situation to the present audience. Which he began with, “Out of the blue.”.
Jimmy said that Roger had insinuated that he [Jimmy Kimmel] was nervous because the list of Jeffrey Epstein was coming out, and he was hoping that he wouldn’t be on it, and when it came out, of course, “my name wasn’t on it, isn’t on it, and won’t ever be on it.”
He went on to say, “I don’t know Jeffrey Epstein; I’ve never met Jeffrey Epstein; I am not on a list; I was not on a plane, an island, or anything ever.”
The matter was not just limited to the shows; Kimmel had also offered to “debate the facts further in court,” explaining that he had to go that far, as when a guy who has won a Super Bowl has done all the state farm commercials say something like that, a lot of people start believing it.
Due to the false statements given by Aaron, he and his family had to face threatening letters from people who had actually believed in such things.
Jimmy speculates that Aaron himself doesn’t believe the false claims he has made, but maybe he was just angry with the jokes Jimmy has talked about him, which have been like, Aaron lied about being vaccinated.
Jimmy showed some clips to the audience, following which he said, “This is how these nuts do it now. You don’t like Trump? You’re a pedophile,” continuing by saying it’s just their go-to move and it shows the actual care they have about pedophilia.
Jimmy gave an explanation on how he and his team make sure that none of the jobs contains any falsehoods and they don’t makeup lies about someone, “even when that someone is Donald Trump.” He went on to say that he occasionally makes mistakes, but if he does, he apologizes for them.
Following this, Jimmy said, “Which is what Aaron Rodgers should do, which is what a decent person would do, but I bet he won’t.” He also added that “If he does, you know what I will do? I’ll accept his apology and move on.” Moving forward with his show, Jimmy also used the topic to address the “conservatives”.
Jimmy said that he really hopes the reason he bought this is because he wanted many decent people out there who consider themselves to be “conservative” to see that there is nothing conservative about it, and he’s hoping that people actually listen and give it a little bit of consideration.
He does not find that it’s okay to randomly call someone a child molester just because you don’t like that person. If that’s the case, then maybe they should rethink being a part of that conservative group.
Jimmy concluded his live show with being sarcastic as he said, “I also want to say congratulations to Aaron Rodgers, who has done the impossible; he made the New York Jets look even worse.”
