Episode 48 of Jeyran has finally scheduled its release date! This Iranian Historical Drama, written by Hassan Fathi and Ehsan Javanmard, is based on the real-life love story of Naser al Din-Shah, The King of Persia, and Jeyran, born as Khadijeh Khanum Tajrishi, who was his first mistress and is widely considered to be his favorite one as well.
Premiering its first episode last year on 13th February 2022, with each episode lasting around fifty minutes, Jeyran is sure to keep you hooked with its fascinating love story filled with twists and turns. Taking place in the Qajar era, this historical romance is a re-imagination of the bold and talented Jeyran, who’s stuck between choosing the King of Persia and her other lover Siavash.
Amir Kabir, the Prime Minister, and Nasser Al-Din Shah’s Mentor, passed away in the year 1852. Nasser Al-Din Shah, our main protagonist, is the Iranian Persian King of the Qajar dynasty. Having heard about the death of his beloved teacher, Nasser was dejected and in despair. His death had caused the state and government to go topsy-turvy.
The death of Amir had affected him so much so, that he refused to take part in any of the state affairs or pay attention to his duties and responsibilities as a King. Seeing his son so depressed, the Queen was worried about his well-being.
In hopes of clearing his mind and escaping the strict protocols of the Palace, Nasser takes along with him his bodyguard Salman to accompany and go hunting with him out in the city. Agreeing to help his majesty divert his mind, the following day, Salman and Nasser go undercover to the valley.
When he went outside the Palace premises, he encountered Khadijeh Khanum Tajrishi, the daughter of Mohammad Ali Najjar, and instantly fell in love with her beauty. Khadijeh, however, was secretly in love with a young man named Siavash. They both had a mutual affection for one another and planned on building a future together.
Because of her big round eyes, Khadijeh was often called ‘Jeyran.’ As she had no idea who Nasser was and what post he held in the country, she treated him with no regard and rushed away from the place. Unable to get her out of his mind, the King summoned her presence in the palace.
As she’s already committed to Siavash, things start getting complicated from here. What will Jeyran do as the King himself desires her for himself? The Queen has no interest in her either, as she sees her unfit to be her son’s wife. What will happen to Jeyran, and how will she face these challenges?
