Jey Uso recently talked about his WrestleMania 40 match against his brother Jimmy. While Jey won, some fans were disappointed the match was short.
Another point of discussion was Jey and Jimmy’s father, Rikishi, a WWE Hall of Famer. Many thought Rikishi would be part of the match, but he wasn’t.
Jey Uso Breaks Silence
Jey recently spoke to the media and explained why. He said he would have loved for Rikishi to be involved, maybe even as a referee.
However, Jey acknowledged that being a referee requires a lot of physical movement, and Rikishi might not be able to keep up.
Jey didn’t rule out Rikishi being involved in the future, though. He suggested Rikishi could be part of a storyline or promo segment. So, while Rikishi wasn’t at WrestleMania, there’s a chance he could team up with his sons in WWE someday!
In the meantime, Jey Uso is focused on his in-ring career. He recently won a match in the King of the Ring tournament and is moving on to the semifinals.
