Jared Kushner, former White House advisor and son-in-law to Donald Trump, has reportedly been contacting donors to garner support for an upcoming Trump fundraiser in New York.
This marks one of Kushner’s initial forays into assisting his father-in-law’s re-election efforts.
Following Trump’s presidency, Kushner pivoted away from politics, founding the Miami-based private equity firm Affinity Partners.
Ivanka Trump, his wife, and Trump’s daughter distanced herself from her father’s campaign, prioritizing her family.
Kushner’s involvement in the fundraiser hints at a potential return to a more active role in Trump’s campaign. The event, scheduled for May 14th in Manhattan, is co-hosted by Kushner’s parents and other prominent figures.
According to sources, Kushner personally reached out to donors, extending invitations to the fundraiser and soliciting further contributions.
While his firm has garnered significant investments, Kushner’s spokesperson emphasized his support for Trump’s campaign.
Despite his family’s continued involvement in Republican politics, Ivanka Trump remains committed to staying out of the political arena, a stance reiterated by her absence as a delegate at the Republican National Convention.
Kushner’s father, Charles Kushner, received a pardon from Trump in 2020 for previous convictions, and he has since contributed financially to pro-Trump initiatives.
