After Detective Conan’s 27th movie had a super successful start, the newest box office numbers are out. The film made a whopping 3,352,494,500 yen and got a total of 2,274,333 people watching in just three days.
This movie now has the second-highest weekend earnings ever for an anime film. It beat out big hitters like JJK 0 movie (2.6 billion yen), One Piece Film: Red (2.254 billion yen), Haikyu Movie (2.23 billion yen), Suzume (1.88 billion yen), The First Slam Dunk (1.295 billion yen), and even Hayao Miyzaki’s The Boy & The Heron.
It’s just behind Demon Slayer: Kimetsu No Yaiba – The Movie: Mugen Train, which made a massive 4.6 billion yen in its opening week.
Detective Conan’s 27th movie, named Detective Conan: The Million-Dollar Signpost, came out on April 12, 2024.
It was directed by Chika Nagaoka, and the screenplay was by Takahiro Okura. The 26th movie, Detective Conan: Kurogane no Submarine, was released on April 14, 2023.
It made history by becoming the first film in the series to earn a whopping 10,304,483,700 billion yen at the box office.
There have been 27 movies based on the Case Closed series. They’re made by TMS Entertainment and put together by Yomiuri Telecasting Corporation, Nippon Television, ShoPro, and Toho.
