Modern Family star Jesse Tyler Ferguson has recently teased the possibility of a spinoff show! Not only that, but the series actor also revealed that the script is ready and is just waiting to be picked up by a network. The popular ABC series was on air for almost a decade and had its season finale in 2020.

Beloved actor Jesse Tyler Ferguson gained fame and success as he starred as Mitchell Pritchett throughout the ABC show’s duration from 2009 until 2020. The five-time Emmy award nominee has assured fans that the script is out there, and it is looking really good. It might be a reality if someone wants to produce it. The comedy series revolved around an extended family of relatives consisting of three separate families. Series actor Eric Stonestreet who played the role of Cameron Tucker in the series, earlier revealed that there was an opportunity for a spinoff but thinks that window has closed.

The show was both a critical and commercial hit as it bagged as many as five consecutive Emmy Awards for best comedy series from 2010 to 2014 and even earned countless other awards, from Peabody honors to SAG, DGA, WGA, and PGA kudos.
During his recent appearance, Jesse Ferguson revealed that there were discussions about an offshoot, but it did not happen as ABC ultimately decided against it. The actor explained that they all have been on for as long as 11 years, and now he thinks they are ready to move in a different direction. While not much is known, the spin-off was expected to continue the story of Mitchell, Cam, Lily, and their new baby as they moved to Missouri.
