Dangers in My Heart is a Shounen manga by mangaka Norio Sakurai. It was released on March 8, 2018, and the manga has been serialized in Manga Cross. After the tremendous success of the manga in Japan, it was internationally released in English by Seven Seas Entertainment.
The romantic comedy school manga is incredibly interesting for the readers because of the main protagonist, Kyoutarou Ichikawa.
The beginning of the manga gave it an interesting psychological thriller concept; however, with time, the manga has forgotten its initial concept and why it was so appealing to the readers.
The main focus of the story has been switched from the psychological aspect to a romantic comedy setting, even though the manga has not been released for very long.
It managed to get an anime adaptation this year, and it mostly received positive reviews from the viewers. The anime only covered the first four volumes of the manga; until now, it has released eight volumes so far.
The anime has been confirmed for season 2, which is quite amazing since many great anime fail to get a renewal. But that’s not the case for Dangers in My Heart since the season has already been scheduled to be released in January 2024.
Dangers in My Heart season 2 will cover the rest of the four volumes and show the growth of Anna Yamada and Kyoutarou Ichikawa.
The Shounen manga appeals to the younger boys’ readers because of the relatable main protagonist, Kyoutarou Ichikawa, if we eliminate his murderous instinct.
They see themselves as the characters because of how anti-social and lonely he is throughout the manga.
But things change for the good, and Kyoutarou Ichikawa finally manages to live a happy, steady high school life, mostly because of the influence of Anna.
The main character, Kyoutarou Ichikawa, is interested in reading about murder and everything that comes with it. Kyoutarou believes that he is an oddball because of how he perceives the world around him.
His biggest fear is losing control over his mind and acting on his instinct to kill people. However, his desire to kill is mostly directed towards his beautiful classmate, Anna Yamada.
Readers are already convinced that Anna Yamada was out of Kyoutarou’s reach because even though the two of them shared the same space, they never interacted with each other until one day.
Dangers in My Heart Story
Kyoutarou Ichikawa considers himself a danger to the people around him, mostly his classmates in junior high. Because he thinks that he is seriously messed up in his head, he compares his mind to a blood-starved beast.
He expressed his worry that one day, he might lose control over his mind. Kyoutarou reads about murders all day long, so it’s not surprising that he thinks about it, too.
Kyoutarou’s beautiful classmate, Anna Yamada, could not stay away from his messed-up mind. He begins to develop a fantasy to kill Anna one day.
He assumes that she looks down on him for not being as good and popular as her; however, Anna proves him wrong as he gets to know her clumsy side.
Is the Dangers in My Heart manga finished?
It has been five years since the manga Dangers in My Heart was released. It has already managed to get an anime adaptation in 2023.
But the story has not been growing in any direction, so readers are wondering if the manga is finished or if it’s going to end soon.
But the answer is no; the manga has not finished yet. Dangers in My Heart is currently an ongoing manga with 8 volumes. It has covered 130 chapters so far.
If you are planning to read the manga after watching the anime, then now is a good time to pick up the manga. Once Dangers in My Heart Season 2 gets released, it will cover most of the chapters, starting with volume 4.
