One of Us is Lying – Plot
One of Us is Lying revolves around these four kids, mainly those that we have mentioned above. Although gliding through the episodes, more kids come forward as a group. Now, the four of them have a direct motive, a secret that they never told anyone, to kill Simon. From the top, it looks like the death of Simon is actually an accident, although, when an investigation starts and more evidence comes forward, it is proved that this was a planned murder. The only question that lingers behind is, who did it?
As for Simon, almost the entire school hated him. He started an online website that revealed the secrets of many people at the school. It was not anonymous that Simon is behind it all, and that is why he was always the weird, creepy kid and an outcast. Anybody could have killed him. Now, let us get to the part where I tell you if this series is worth a watch.
Is One of Us is Lying Worth A Watch?
Yes. If you are into crime dramas revolving around high school students that also give Gossip Girl vibes somehow, then this shoe is for you. It kept me hooked personally throughout the entire episode, and I literally had to drop everything on my schedule to finish it first and get to the bottom of the season. If you also are interested in seeing adults as teenagers on a Netflix series, then this is definitely something you should watch.
We see a lot of themes along with crime, as we discussed, and thus, it is worth having a look at the show. If you are still unsure, I suggest you watch the first episode at least and make up your mind about the same. It is similar to shows such as How to Get Away With Murder combined with Gossip Girl. Although, the teamwork and the friendship which we see is remarkable, and the acting skills of the cast are appreciated.
