Kierra Valencia Sheard, also sometimes called ‘Kiki,’ is a famous American gospel singer. Born in Detroit, this singer started to show her talents early.
At the age of 5, she was singing in the choir at Greater Emmanuel Institutional Church of God in Christ, which was pastured by her father. She comes from a long family of Gospel singers. Her mother is Karen Clark Sheard, a member of the gospel band the Clark sisters.
Kierra’s grandmother was the director and mentor to the same choir group. Not only did she start singing at the age of 5, she made her professional debut at only nine years old. Her song ‘The Will of God’ won the Stellar Award for the best children’s performance.
Sheard was thrice nominated for a Grammy and has won approximately five Stellar awards during her career. She has had five number-one gospel albums and has contributed vocals to other artists as well. Her first album was labeled ‘I Owe You’ and the first time was a hit; Sheard became the first new artist in Billboard history to debut at number one on the Top Gospel Albums chart.
She is the writer of two self-help books. In 2021 she wrote “Big, Bold, and Beautiful: Owning the Woman God Made You to Be” for youngsters. It was a book on self-acceptance and body positivity, seeking to help young people, especially women, feel more comfortable in their skin.
Kelly’s second book, titled “The Vibes You Feel: What I’ve Learned About Life and Relationships Through The Holy Spirit,” has not been released yet but falls under the self-help genre. In the hit Lifetime movie, The Clark Sisters: First Ladies of Gospel, Kierra portrayed her mother and Grammy award winner Karen. She has frequently talked about how much of an inspiration her mother has been to her.
The gospel singer recently announced the news that she is pregnant with her first child.

Who Is Kierra Married To?
On the day of her 33rd Birthday, 20th June 2020, Kierra announced that she was engaged to her fiancé, Jordan Kelly. An entrepreneur, Jordan Kelly, is the CEO of Backyard Bullies. It is a Detroit-based landscaping company. Kierra herself is the owner of the brand BRL and the founder of another brand, Eleven 60. No wonder they get along so well takes an entrepreneur to love another, it seems. Kelly first came into the limelight after marrying the gospel singer and is an internet personality in his own right. As of 2023, he crossed over 66.9K followers on Instagram.

Their first wedding was a private event, organized with a minimum of guests since it took place in 2020; this was done to follow Covid protocols. However, a grand ceremony soon followed to truly enjoy the wedding. Sheard wore Ese Azenabor, a famous bridal designer, who created the mesmerizing gown that Kierra flaunted on her wedding day.
Faith Evans also performed at the reception. Kierra herself performed and dedicated a song to her new husband. The videos and photographs of the ceremony are available on the social media pages of the couple. Kierra also released a vlog of the wedding day. It is available on her YouTube channel.
The couple also shares an age gap. Sheard is 35, and Kelly is 32. The couple is adorable and seems to be deeply in love with one another. On the occasion of her 35th birthday in 2022, she released a 11-minute video on her YouTube channel to show how her husband surprised her on the occasion.
Now in 2023, the couple has announced that they are pregnant with their first child. With Kierra Sheard pregnant, their happiness seems to be on an all-time rise.

Confirming to People, Kierra talked about how excited she is to be a mother; she said that she could not wait to have the same impact on her child that her mother had on her. The news is all the more joyous as it comes after Sheard suffered two miscarriages which she said ‘bought her to death’s door.’
In the same interview, she talked about how supportive her husband had been throughout her tribulations. She also talked about her healing process, which included reading faith books, praying, and surrounding herself with supportive people. The mother-to-be is marking two milestones at once, with the much-anticipated birth and her upcoming book.
