Is it Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon? IV Episode 7 is set to release this week. Fujino Mori wrote the light novel series ‘Is it wrong to pick up girls in a dungeon,’ also known as DanMachi, with an English subtitle, and Suzuhito Yasuda illustrated it. SB Creative’s GA Bunko imprint has produced seventeen volumes since January 2013.
Bell Cranel, a 14-year-old amateur adventurer and member of the Hestia Familia, is the focus of the anime’s plot. After she saves him from a powerful monster by accident, the young man vows to become as strong as Ais Wallenstein, a powerful swordswoman from Loki Familia. Hestia herself, as well as deities and mortals, are also romantically attracted to Bell because of her romantic devotion to Ais.

Is it Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon? IV Episode 6 Review
I feel sorry for Lili. Despite her best efforts, all she wants to do is spend time with Bell, but they keep putting their (inferior) claims on him in her way. After all, Lili was the first to accompany Bell on his explorations after Hestia, so it’s easy to understand why she thinks that many of them do not have as much claim to Bell’s time as she does. Her back was even guarded when she wasn’t supposed to, and it’s hard to deny that she has a crush on him, but ultimately, she’s his friend and right hand for the party. While she enjoyed the rest of the group, she would have been justified in missing those days when Bell and Lili were alone against the Dungeon. After the perils, they experienced in the lower levels, having Bell’s back and hanging out all night just talking is a comforting time. They get away from everyone else (and a very genuine escape from Aisha’s predatory tendencies). Bell seems more relaxed around Lili, and oftentimes Welf than most other people around him.
They like and appreciate each other’s company. Even when he’s sitting quietly with Lili, he doesn’t seem as at ease as when he’s complimenting him, using him for shopping discounts, or wants to regale him, and his body language is noticeably different when he’s just hanging out with Mikoto and Haruhime. Many people want Bell, whether he realizes it or not, so this information may be more crucial than it appears. Although Cassandra and Daphne utilize him to achieve a deal, the Denatus at the start of the episode acts as a lighthearted warning. When it comes time for the gods to vote on a new nickname for Bell, Freya is the first to propose one. Her selection translates as “Freya’s Husband.” Freya claiming Bell’s ancestral property is impolite, but it also implies Freya has an unholy interest in Bell, which Hestia detects. As we all know, gods aren’t supposed to have romantic relationships with humans, so even if that hasn’t been explicitly stated in the show, just look at almost any Greek myth about Zeus and a mortal woman, or Apollo’s relationship with mythological (as opposed to real) Daphne and Cassandra for an example of why it is a disastrous idea.
Although Hestia loves Bell romantically, she won’t do anything to endanger him. Could we say the same about Freya, a goddess who is very publicly making a play for him? Was Loki’s counter-proposal intended to defuse the Freya/Hestia situation? I believe it is feasible, but as a trickster god, she may equally well be tossing fat on a fire to make it even hotter. It’s not Freya’s first public declaration, but it’s far not her first attempt to pique Bell’s interest. She’s someone to keep an eye on. It’s easy to overlook that in the midst of what’s going on in Dungeon Town. We still don’t know much about Ryu’s background, but leaving The Benevolent Mistress and murdering a merchant there is both puzzling and alarming. Has Ryu gone insane? Do Bell and everyone else turn against each other if she learns something that makes her so angry that she can no longer serve drinks alone? We are almost certainly getting a much more exciting and deadly narrative than we are getting, and finding out about Gale Wind’s true identity is a compelling story hook that is just waiting for some horrific revelations to come.
