Recap Of Showtime Begins Season 1
The kdrama Showtime Begins revolved around a magician named Cha Cha Woong and a female officer Ko Seul Hae. Cha Cha Woong was a famous TV magician who dazzled his audience with unbelievable magic tricks. However, he carried a secret that no one knew. Cha Cha Woong had a gang of secret helpers who were not humans but ghosts who worked for him at his Magic Factory. The magician had an extraordinary ability to see spirits and thus, he used it to trick people. He had three employees, Chief Nam Sang Goon, Director Ma Dong Chul, and technical expert maknae Kang A Reum.
Meanwhile, Ko Seul Hae was an honest and passionate police officer. Unlike Cha Cha Woong, who tricked people, Ko Seul Hae wanted to help people. Therefore, one day while solving a case, the two crossed paths. Instead of getting out, Cha Cha Woong got more involved in the hit and run case, which eventually disclosed his secret to Ko Seul Hae. And like any sane person, she didn’t believe him before he decided to help her to solve the case. Later, Cha Cha Woong met the general’s spirit Choi Geom whom his family had been serving for a long time.
While solving the case, the two got close. Cha Cha Woong discovered that because of Ko Seul Hae’s father, his grandfather was arrested years ago as a prime suspect of the Full Moon Serial Killer. On the other hand, Ko Seul Hae blamed Shaman Cha Sa Geum (Cha Cha Woong’s grandfather) for her father’s death. Therefore, when the truth resurfaced, both fell apart.

After learning about their entangled past, Choi Geom revealed the secrets. He told them about Cha Cha Woong’s grandfather and Ko Seul Hae’s father’s partnership and how close they used to be, always helping solve cases. After learning about the truth, Cha Cha Woong and Ko Seul Hae decided to walk down the same and find the real culprit behind their family’s downfall, the evil spirit; who possessed the Full Moon Serial Killer. Therefore, along with Cha Cha Woong’s ghost squad and Choi Geom, the duo began solving various cases while trying to trace down the evil spirit.
Furthermore, Season 1 of Showtime Begins revealed that Cha Cha Woong, Ko Seul Hae, Choi Geom, and the evil spirit Hae Chun Moo knew each other in their previous lives, which was 2000 years ago. Prince Hae Chun Moo wanted to marry Princess Chun Hwa (Ko Seul Hae), but she coldly refused since she and Poong Baek (Cha Cha Woong) were in love. So this eventually ended up taking all three’s lives. Later Choi Geom, Prince Chun Hwa’s bodyguard, also took his life since he couldn’t protect them.
So years later (their present time), the duo and Choi Geom came together to lock Hae Chun Moo’s evil spirit. Although the path didn’t seem easy, they eventually eliminated his trace from the face of the earth. By the ending of From Now On, Showtime! Cha Cha Woong and Ko Seul Hae bid goodbye to their ghost squad, who finally went to heaven. However, a little twist at the ending excited fans about the possibility of Showtime Begins Season 2. However, is it really possible to have From Now On Showtime Season 2?

Is It Possible To Have From Now On, Showtime! 2?
As we mentioned, there is a sweet twist at Showtime Begins ending. In the end, the drama revealed that Choi Geom couldn’t go to heaven due to his new misdeed. Therefore, the great jade emperor delivered the verdict that he should continue serving Cha’s family and look after their well-being and happiness.
Meanwhile, the drama showed the five years later story part where Cha Cha Woong and Ko Seul Hae got married and even had a son named Cha Ma Ru. At Cha Ma Ru’s birthday party, we met his three friends who undoubtedly resembled the little version of Nam Sang Goon, Ma Dong Chul, and Kang A Reum. Therefore, it indirectly pointed out that Cha Ma Ru might be Choi Geom’s child version or that Choi Geom had returned as their child. Also, Cha Cha Woong voiced the same, indicating that the possibility must be correct.

Thus, with Choi Geom and Cha Cha Woong’s ghost squad’s return, fans can anticipate Showtime Begins Season 2. After all, if the writer decides to continue Choi Geom’s journey, there is enough content to make the second season of From Now On, Showtime! So there are 50-50 chances of having the next season, which may be a sequel to Season 1, or the writer can come up with an entirely new one.

From Now On, Showtime! Season 2 Plot
Since Showtime Begins Season 2 is not confirmed yet, it’s difficult to predict its plotline. Either it will be a sequel or a whole new story. If they decide on a sequel, we may see how Choi Geom continues his journey as Cha Cha Woong and Ko Seul Hae’s son. The drama can also show a new set of adventures as Cha Ma Ru navigates his life while fighting back evils.
On the other hand, if the writer creates a new one, we will see an entirely different plotline, which may or may be connected to the first season of From Now On, Showtime! So besides a magician, there will be new thrillers, suspense, and romance. However, all of these are mere speculations. Only time will tell whether or not we get a second season!
Cast Of Showtime Begins Season Two
The gems of From Now On, Showtime! were the cast members. Therefore, it is understandable if fans want to see the old cast in Showtime Begins Season 2. Since the kdrama is not renewed for a second season, fans need to wait. If we get a sequel, there is no doubt we will meet the same faces. However, if the production team makes a new story, the chance of seeing the old cast is fewer.
It is not even arguable that another artist would have played Cha Cha Woong’s role better. After all, Park Hae Jin has showcased his excellent acting skills while playing Cha Cha Woong. The same goes for Jin Ki Joo and Jung Joon Ho. Not to forget our little adorable ghost team of Nam Sang Goon, Ma Dong Chul, and Kang A Reum! It will be the saddest thing if we don’t see them in the second season of From Now On, Showtime! But at this moment, all we can do is wait for further news. Meanwhile, you can re-watch Showtime Begins on Wavve, Rakuten Viki, ViuTV, and VuClip to fill your days with laughter!
