Bungo Stray Dogs is no doubt one of the amazing entries to the entertainment community from both mediums, whether it is in manga or anime form. While the majority of the population chooses the latter, the fans choosing the former medium always had an advantage considering they can be caught up to the latest events of their beloved series.
However, the current situation of this series is a bit complex as the latest season of Bungo Stray Dogs anime did something different that many of the fans did foresee at all. The anime actually went ahead and adapted stories that are not even yet featured in the manga.
This situation usually occurs when the series plans to end as they want both the medium to the finish at the same and thus leaving both sides of the community with a bang. This is what the famous Full Metal Alchemist seems to have done in the past and thus fans were worried about Bungo Stray Dogs doing the same.
Thus, fans are wondering whether this is the same situation that applies to the amazing Bungo Stray Dogs series. Well, there are a lot of things that we would like to say about the series, and with the current information available for the series, we would like to state that fans can rest knowing that Bungo Stray Dogs is not yet finished.
Is Bungo Stray Dogs Manga Finished?
No, Bungo Stray Dogs manga is far from over and will continue to be serialized in the Kadokawa Shoten’s Seinen manga magazine Young Ace monthly for the time to come. The current situation in the series may be complicated as we saw that the fifth season of Bungo Stray Dogs which was the latest installment in the series which was released from July to September consisted of a total of 11 episodes.
By the time the anime had reached episode number 10 in this season, the anime had caught up to the events that were showcased in the manga. Thus the finale of the Bungo Stray Dogs anime was an odd decision and went ahead of the manga and showcased the conclusions of the current arc.
Meanwhile, the manga which has monthly serialization was left behind and is now currently adapting the latest events from the manga. The latest chapter of the series as of this writing was Bungo Stray Dogs chapter 111, which was released earlier this month, and still continued to adapt content that was featured in the finale of Bungo Stray Dogs season 5.
From the way that the manga is covering the content, we are assuming that Bungo Stray Dogs chapter 112, will be the one that will finally adapt all the context from the anime and catch up to it. But this leads to another question and that is will the manga come to an end after adapting the finale moments from the Bungo Stray Dogs’ fifth season?
What is next for Bungo Stray Dogs?
As mentioned earlier, the upcoming chapter of Bungo Stray Dogs featuring the December issue of Kadokawa Shoten’s Seinen manga magazine Young Ace, is going to adapt the final moments of the anime leading it to cover all the things that are yet to say.
The previous season or this arc in the manga went really hard and it seemed like with Detective Agency doing the job saving the world would be the last thing that we would see. However, thankfully this isn’t it. After the current arc was concluded in the anime, we saw a teaser of what is to come next in the series and it has hyped wanting for more.

Given that there isn’t any announcement regarding a new season of Bungo Stray Dogs we are assuming that the manga will continue to adapt the story and once again get ahead of the anime. It is confirmed yet that the manga will continue to be serialized after the conclusion of this arc but it is also not announced whether it will be going on a hiatus or not.
Thus, we are assuming that the teaser we saw in the anime will start to be adapted into the manga in the new year. Whereas when the anime comes out with a new season, well it will surely be years if they are planning to let the manga go ahead and adapt the end of the story.
