Kimi Aa Houkago Insomnia AKA Insomniacs After School is the story of Ganta Nakami and Isaki Magari. But before dwelling further into the story I should warn you. There will be spoilers ahead. The School Nakami and Isaki attend is somewhat famous for its Astronomy Club. More specifically the reason why they do not have an Astronomy Club anymore.
The first-ever Astronomy Club comprised two girls and 3 guys. One of these girls was very much in love with a boy from the Soccer Club. Knowing her love will never be retaliated by the latter the girl decided to end her life. She did it by jumping off the roof of the Astronomy Club. It was a horrific ordeal. However, that was not the reason the club was disbanded.
Shortly after this ordeal one of the guy members of the Astronomy Club started hallucinating the deceased girl on the moon. The guy suffers the same ordeal as the girl. He too was very much in love with her. But she is forever out of his reach now. Before long he started obsessing over her. He started spending hours just looking at the moon, looking at his lost lover.
He would say that he can see her waving at him from the moon. Before you know it the guy dies of exhaustion. His last words shocked everyone to the core. He said he realized that the girl was not waving at him. In reality, she was waving him over to be with her. The other members suffered from the same fate. Thus the club was disbanded while the room was turned into Storage.
The students still claim that the girl still haunts the Astronomy Club. The door to the room is always locked. But sometimes you can see it’s unlocked. Little did they know the story about the ghost was all made up by Isaki She uses the room to take naps while in school. And now that Nakami has found out her secret and was looking for a place to sleep himself they decide to share.
