Infinite Mage’s latest chapter, Chapter 36, is now available to read online. In chapter 36, we see an intense race between Mark and Shirone. Mark, however, cheated at the start and went ahead of Shirone. Even after being at a disadvantage, Shirone still tried to close in on Mark. However, when they were near the finish line, suddenly, an obstacle appeared at level 10 came in between.

Those changes in the track were made by Maria. She did that so Mark couldn’t win the race. If he had won, Maria would have been torched by him again. Even after the exam was stopped, still Mark and Shirone rushed into the maze that had appeared because of Maria changing the controls in the engine room. The maze was on Level 10, and it won’t be easy for them to clear it. The chapter was kind of short, but the art style was pretty good. I’m excited for the next chapter to see who will win.

The chapter continues when Mark has gone ahead of Shirone, While Mark’s teammate tries to attack Shirone mid-air. Shirone was confused seeing Mark suddenly coming ahead of him, and when he saw toward the left, Mark’s teammate rushed towards him to crash. In the split moment, Shirone dodged his attempt to fall him. Both of their Routine got broken. Shirone and Mark’s teammates started to fall on the cliff. Shirone concentrated on his routine and was able to fly again.

Every specter from class five noticed something strange in their movement. Everyone questioned how Shirone crashed in front of him. Eruki from class five told them that he did it on purpose. He explained it to them one person stopped his track, and another hit him head-on. That is a great tactic that uses the advantages of the immediacy of teleportation and space leaping simultaneously. If Shirone hadn’t gone off his standard track, something horrific would’ve happened.

Mark was on at the first position. He was too confident of himself. Shirone knew that Mark’s condition was good. He knew that he would finish. If Shirone wanted to win, he needed to overtake him soon. If he carelessly increased the distance between them, his routine might get destroyed. Instead, he thought of increasing his tempo. Shirone starts to catch up with Mark. They were the only two left. However, Shirone body wasn’t in perfect condition. While they were heading toward the finish line, a warning notice came.

The engine system of the bridge that can’t be crossed had started running. In between the pathway, a new obstacle appeared. Professor Thad immediately rushed towards the engine room. The professor advised the Headmaster to stop the exam. But if they had stopped the exam like that in between, complaints from every family would come. The Headmaster shouted had ordered them to send the signal to stop the exam immediately. When Professor Thad went to check the engine room, he noticed that the door was locked from inside.

He noticed some presence on the other side of the door. He warned the person inside to open the door, or he would blow it up. The person inside told him to do it, as one would know if someone like her died. The professor recognized the voice of Maria. She had made changes in the room so that Mark wouldn’t win because if he had won, she would have lived a hellish life again. Even after seeing the signal to stop the exam, Mark and Shirone headed inside the maze.
