The second round of the Mixed discipline combat tournament has begun and in the first match Seika going up against Labinare the Puppeteer. Labinare reveals that her golem specializes in anti-magic combat and taunts Seika to surrender.
The match begins and Seika defeats her golem in one single blow by summoning Sickle Weasel, who everyone believes to be a wind spell. After winning Seika visits Yifa and Aimu and they talk for a bit and soon the next match begins.
In the next match, Mabel is facing Howlo, a powerful earth magic user. The match begins and Howlo uses several rock blast attacks but Mabel cuts all of them down. She soon closes the distance between them and cuts Howl’s staff which forces him to surrender. Seika learns that Mabel is referred to as a “hero”.
Seika recalls how he caught a demon spy last night. The spy tries to attack Seika but gets caught in his earth spell. After being interrogated, the spy refuses to answer which forces Seika to summon Satori, A ayakashi capable of mind reading. Seika gets all the information he needed from the spy and then orders Satori to eat him. He believes that Mable Crane being a fake hero is good as it protects the real hero Amyu.
We are back in the arena and a mage named Reinas wins his 2 matches using the magic of 4 different natures, which is a very rare feat. Kyle, the devil eye user also easily defeated his opponent. Seika faces a necromancer and yet again wins effortlessly. Mabel also won pretty easily.
Reinas tells Seika that he’ll be waiting for him in the finals while Mabel insists that he forfeits the tournament to which he declines. In the next match, Kyle easily defeats Reinas by using gravity magic and shocks everyone. All the other opponents forfeit and so the tournament reaches the semi-final.
Seika returns home and goes to sleep beside his fox but he gets attacked by Mabel and is now facing her in the middle of the night.
