Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation is based on the light novel by the same name written by Rifujin na Magonote and illustrated by Shirotaka. The light novel was published by Media Factory in 2014 under the MF Books imprint. Furthermore, it was translated to English and published by Seven Seas Entertainment. At the time of writing, the novel has 25 volumes and is currently marked under the ongoing status.

What to Expect From Mushoku Tensei Season 2?
Season 1 of Mushoku Tensei ended with the sixth arc from the light novel series. If the anime continues to be loyal to the source material, the next season will start from the 7th arc and volume of the Mushoku Tensei light novel. This arc is titled the ‘Mid-Level Adventurer Arc’. In this arc, Rudeus travels to Rosenburg looking for his mother. He is also extremely saddened by the sudden disappearance of Eris. Feeling lost and alone, Rudeus takes up an A-Rank task to forget all about his grief.
The seventh arc is followed by the first part of the University Arc. In this arc, Rudeus received a letter from the Ranks University of Magic, inviting him to admit into it. Rudeus takes up the entrance exam and passes it. Now he must get acquainted with his new classmates and make friends with them.
The two arcs prove to be of utmost importance to depict Rudeus’s character development.
Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation Season 2 Release Date
On 6 March, the long-awaited OVA was released at the TOHO Cinemas, Hibiya. The pre-screened episode was an extra edition that will be officially released on 16 March 2022.

During the stage greeting held at the same event, Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation Season 2 was announced. So far, only a confirmation was revealed. However, as per the official website, the broadcast time and other details will soon be announced on a later date.
While we are rejoicing at the announcement of the second season, a trusted leaker has also reported that the anime’s third season is also under production with the second. There has been no confirmation about the news so far.
Cast and Staff
The anime’s animation production will take place at Studio Bind and EGG FIRM like its previous season. More staff members are yet to be released. We expect all the voice cast from season 1 to resume their roles for the production of season 2. Further announcements regarding the additional voice cast of new characters are yet to be made.
