The 11th chapter begins with Imaizumi in his underwear with Sasaki and Hamazaki (it is just that hot). Ruri wonders how anyone can bear with this heat and if they should all just go out to hang somewhere instead of staying at home.
Then the bell suddenly rings. Everyone wonders if it is a salesman or an order that just came. This is when Ruuri checks her phone and finds out that Imaizumi’s brother had texted her about his mother visiting the apartment, and he forgot to tell them earlier!
Ruri tells Sasaki and Hamazaki to hide in the closet while Tsutsumin literally grabs her and jumps down the verandah down to the street. His mother uses her spare key to enter and asks him what caused the delay in opening the door.
She even hears sounds in the closet and suspects that Imaizumi has stuffed all of the clothes into it without organizing them. She opens it to find a neat closet and finds nothing suspicious, even when the girls are hiding behind the clothes.
Imaizumin constantly makes some excuse or the other until the doorbell rings again. It is Kurumizaka on the door; she has come to return the gym clothes she had borrowed from Imaizumi. His mother sees her, and she introduces herself to her. She even invites the girl to have a drink inside since it is a very hot summer day after all.
Kurumizaka starts showing his mother some samples of the new products that she has. His mother applauds her for working hard at such a young age. Meanwhile, the girls whisper in the closet about Kurumizaka’s trying hard to impress his mother.
Kurumizaka mentions Imaizumi’s living alone, which makes his mother talk about how they are trying to make him independent and resilient since he is so “feminine,” just as he looks like it.
Imaizumi’s mother starts remembering the time she and her husband were arguing about sending Imaizumi to live all by himself. She was against the idea and believed that what he called “femininity” was actually his kindness as a person. But his father thinks that he needs to learn to live on his own to be a true “man.”
The scene comes to the present, and Imaizumi’s mother tells Kurumizaka that she is a good girl and that she wishes that he may find a girlfriend like her someday. She then takes her to leave, for she does not think he would be able to ask Ruri out if she was here. The girls all come out and start arguing with Ruri. Meanwhile, Imaizumi’s mother thinks Ruri is not just a friend to Imaizumin.
