The anticipated Yuri Otomeisekai I’m in Love with the Villainess Episode 2 will be dropping in the coming days, and the fans are happy that a Yuri anime is finally getting released. The Otomeisekai genre became really popular, and even though it caters to the female demographic, girl love stories are rarely ever featured.

Funnily enough, the protagonist is head over heels for the cool yet cold villainess of the novel, who is supposed to make the protagonist’s life hell.
The anime has a pretty light tone to it, and it has a lot of comedy as well. Watching the rivals become love interests is pretty adorable in itself, so the fans are very much looking forward to seeing the story unfold.

I’m in Love with the Villainess: Episode 1 Recap
In the previous episode of I’m in Love with the Villainess, we see how Rae Taylor came to possess the protagonist of her favorite Otome game called Revolution. Rae is just an average girl in modern Japan when she finds herself in the fictional world.
The game originally has three romance routes with the Princes of the Bauer Kingdom, but Rae has no interest in that. Funnily enough, Rae was always smitten by the villainess of the game, Claire Francios, and she has her heart set on her. Claire is shown to be a typical tsundere with a callous personality but a rather soft heart.
The dynamic between the two is mainly Claire bullying Rae subtly, and Rae loves every moment of it.
From what we can see, Rae will work towards melting the chilly Claire and try to have at least a good relationship with her. The male leads of the original game are all but forgotten, and the story does not focus on them too much for a change.
Claire obviously doesn’t trust Rae, and she will be pretty cautious of her even in the next few episodes. However, Rae’s sincerity will probably win her over.
The anime is a good chance for the genre to diversify the queer representation and probably turn an average reincarnation story into something with more substance.
Rae will push Claire towards her happy ending, but who knows what will happen? The ending that Rae originally wanted to see might not happen at all, considering all the changes she made to the plot. However, we can only hope that Rae and Claire will remain together till the very end.
