Rei went to meet Misha in the morning, and she asked Misha about Claire and Cardinal Lily. Misha informed her that they split up after breakfast.
Misha noticed that even though she was the one who stayed out all night, Rei was the one feeling awkward. Rei told her she had heard about Lady Yu’s crosswise curse.
Misha explained that the situation was very complicated and advised Rei that she should not poke her nose into other people’s business.

They learned about the missing students during the class; some students had not attended to appear for their classes even though the summer vacation was over.
Cardinal joined their class and informed everybody that the church was planning to perform a ceremonial dance, but a few of their dancers had gone missing, so it was concerning for them.
However, since they received reports that an academy student was being seen together with a nun when the church investigated the case, they concluded that there was a possibility that the academy students were involved in both cases.
So it could potentially become a big deal, so the academy’s higher-ups wanted to keep it under wraps. The school wanted the students to interview people around the town to find some kind of lead.
If the students suspected that the case was involved in any kind of crime, they had to elevate the case to the army.
But the students had to disguise themselves as commoners because the academy uniform stood out too much. Rei had a bad feeling about the matter because she knew that they would cause some kind of trouble with their investigation.
It was inevitable with the flow of the plot, but there was a problem since things were going to be different from what she remembered.

The group then ganged up and decided to split up and get to work. They decided to meet at the cafe once they were done with the investigation.
Claire asked a bunch of people for clues related to the missing person, but she could not find any leads. They bought ice cream from a lady and asked her about the academy student and nun; fortunately, the lady had seen them together.
She explained that one night, when she was closing her shop, she spotted a student leading a nun into the back of the alley.
The girls asked the lady if it seemed like the two of them were eloping; however, the lady mentioned that the two of them did not look like lovers to her.
She mentioned that the duo seemed rather creepy, that the nun’s steps were weird, and that it seemed like she was sleepwalking. Claire and Rei believed that the nun was either hypnotized or under the influence of some kind of magical tool.
