In Chapter 49, Shin wakes up after his hard-fought battle against Gustav in a hospital bed, shortly being greeted by his over-the-top followers with a tribute of a giant shark stuffed through the walls by Ilho.
A few days after his recovery, Shin returned to instructing class 3. As Shin’s achievement of defeating an SS-Class beast is now well known, beyond expectations, he received a warm greeting from all of his students, bringing him to tears.
With good vibes in the mix, Shin conducts a counseling session with all his students, solving their problems as the god he is. However, he was shortly interrupted by Anty’s desperate prayer in a request for Shin’s help against the marching army of 100 billion bugs and three SS-Class beasts summoned by Arachne.
This left Shin utterly worried for the Ant tribe’s fate. The situation quickly turned from a fun interactive session with the teacher and students to a world-ending phenomenon. So, in a desperate attempt at grabbing straws, he remembered the low-class quest he’s yet to complete, i.e., to gain ten followers and become a low-class god.
In chapter 50, Shin goes around trying to gain followers by doing ‘Good Deeds.’ When he comes across Choi Kangsan, he can see Choi likes him for Shin saving his daughter; however, it would take a lot more to make him his follower.
Shin realized this and was willing to do any favors Choi wished to gain his trust. Upon talking with Choi, Shin was prompted to a ‘Follower Quest’ just as planned. ‘Heal Choi Kangsan’s friend,’ it said; as simple as it may sound to Shin, little did Shin know the challenge he was up against.
When Shin and Choi arrived at the location, Shin encountered a young lady lying on a flower bed, only to learn that it was Choi’s friend, Miracle. Shockingly enough, Miracle wasn’t an ordinary human being. According to Choi, she seems to be a deity of sorts who doesn’t age; interestingly, Choi also admits she was a hero who saved Korea by fighting on the battlefield alongside Choi.
In an attempt to heal Miracle, Shin was put into her thinking space without his notice. Interestingly, Miracle, a.k.a. Mirae Lee, knew of Shin’s status of godhood. Mirae also stated her physical body is dead, and the coma state is keeping her in-between life and dead. But Shin took his chances by using his authority of healing inside Mirae’s thinking space. However, the attempt was to no avail.
Chapter 51 starts with Mirae Lee on the ground, smiling, as Shin is prompted with a new follower message, bringing up Shin’s follower count from 6 to 8 since the hero is worth 2 S-class hunters. Unexpectedly, this was her farewell gift to the young god. As she blurts out a potential quest, Mirae Lee beings to disappear into thin air while giving Shin a clue to work with.
Though Shin happened to fail Choi’s follower’s quest, he did gain two extra followers and an interaction that would be worthwhile in the future. While Shin is wondering for a way to gain followers and link with Mirae’s clue, Shin gazes his attention towards the sword phantom as he challenges Hades to a duel yet again. This got Shin wondering, ‘Could this be what Mirae meant?’ The sword phantom.
Sword Phantom and Hades begin their duel, However, the match ends pretty quickly as ‘Hades speed blitzes behind Sword Phantom and ends it with a KO, but Hades truly believes in Sword Phantom’s techniques and ability to push him to become an S-class hunter. This leaves Seong Mina undoing Miri’s seal so that she won’t become a sacrifice for the Nether Dragon.
While everyone’s doing their part, and only 48 hours before the siege attack begins, Shin realizes he needs to start his training and let everything happen in a flow. However, the chapter ends with quite the cliffhanger when Shin is transported right in front of the infamous Thousand Blade beast.
