The guy who came is Marquis Bloten, and of course, Ethan and him are pretty much on friendly terms. We learn that it was their first time meeting, and Ethan looked happy to see him. That is when Ethan asks the Marquis to acquire some rare material for him since he wants to improve his sword.
Carmen talks about the information guild of the King that is protected by the Shadow Knights and that they need someone strong to back them up if they want to protect their informants. Ethan tells Carmen to look into the Black Society and contact some specific person there to ask for assistance regarding that matter.
Ethan’s sister makes her abrupt appearance, and she is as lively as ever. Ethan obviously finds her pesky, like a true sibling. She starts talking about how she was saved by a High Elf once, and that is enough to catch his attention. He wanted a branch or two of the World Tree for his sword handle, and they headed to the forest.
The elves are so not welcoming and greet them with a barrage of arrows. Finally, they realize the two are not enemies, and they reveal some problems regarding the world tree and some evil people expanding their territory nearby. Ethan decides to take on the mission to help the elves.
