Our favorite historical thriller anime series is finally getting resumed after more than six months of break time, and now with the comeback of the latest episodes of season 2 as part 2, fans are wondering How To Watch the Record of Ragnarok Season 2 Part 2 Episodes?
Part one of the Record of Ragnarok Season 2 is much better than Season One, in my opinion. However, take note that my expectations were pretty low after those power points and other unfortunate things, but once again, many of us really enjoyed the anime adaptation of one of the most popular manga, and they are improving, which is a great sign.
I have seen some people complaining about the ten episodes of the first part, as it only covered two fights, yes, it is a little unfortunate pacing-wise, but in the manga as well, the Jack vs. Hercules was much longer than the first three fights from season one.
That is why it is kind of to be expected, I guess, and there was also some other stuff that happened outside of the fight in season two as well, so that means that they have adapted ninety-nine percent of the manga this time as they did previously.
What Record of Ragnarok Season 2 Part 2 Will Be All About?
Record of Ragnarok as a whole is not the best manga for an anime adaptation, but I still pretty much enjoyed it. After the ten episodes of the first part of the second season, the remaining episodes of the ongoing season will get streamed online, and we are here to guide you on that in the proceeding part.
This means that Buddha’s fight with part one ends with “Buddha Reveals” and also the fact that he is actually fighting for humanity. This was the pretty perfect moment to end the first part of the season, and that is also why fans are super excited to see the upcoming second part for the very hyped Buddha Fight.
The manga still stands quite a bit above the anime, and I highly recommend you to check it as well if you are an anime only. One thing that I really want to talk about regarding the differences between anime and manga is that they reveal that a god is next to Aries. However, in theory, it was actually Apollo, and one of the Greek gods is confirmed to be fighting in the tournament.
The anime just showed who this person is; I personally don’t think that this is Apollo, and in an anime adaptation may have just created some random design to fill this up, and they didn’t really get that this was a potential hit to the future, as the creators of the anime may not have caught that detail, or potentially the authors of the manga, didn’t really think too much about covering that God.
The first part of season two, Jack vs. Hercules it being confirmed to be Hercules, not Heracles; a long-lasting debate in the fandom of the series. Some CGI that was used in the show, didn’t look the worst, and at the same time didn’t look the greatest as well.
It was mainly for the actions involving Hercules, especially in his transformation. London Bridge Falling was done very well, the soundtrack was very amazing, and Jack was given justice as my favorite character, and I am very grateful for that.
As a whole, they have covered everything; and 99 percent of the manga was adapted. A few lines here and there kinda change a bit, but for all we know, that could be just the translation for the manga being a little bit, but it was great.
I do think that the action was better for this fight when it comes to animation wise, which I also said at the start; they are improving, which is a good sign. I enjoyed the voice action for both the sub and the dub.
Regarding Shiva and Raiden, the order of this fight was kind of messed around and changed for the manga. In the manga version, they go from Jack vs. Hercules straight into Shiva vs. Raiden.
After Raiden pretty much destroys Shiva’s arm, we cut to Buddha and the whole Team Buddha vs. Team Loki-like situation, and then we cut back to the end of the fight between Shiva and Raiden.
I think that anime did the right thing by doing the Buddha vs. Loki stuff after Jack vs. Hercules, and then having the last three episodes, solely dedicated to Shiva vs. Raiden. I do believe that the whole situation of Buddha kind of took away the hype of Shiva vs. Raiden, and I did enjoy the anime version of this fight much more than the manga version.
I don’t think that the animation for this fight as a whole is as good as Jack vs. Hercules, however, specific moments were definitely the highlights of this season; for example, Raiden’s named attack was very intense and probably a peak movement.
The backstories were fine, and seeing the other Gods was great to see, but definitely, the highlight of Shiva vs. Raiden was, of course, his transformation, the Tandava Karma, definitely prevented in the anime rather than the manga, and now it is my favorite transformation in the series so far.
For example, when we compare it to “Zeus vs. Hercules Transformation” from the anime, there is not really a comparison for me at this point. It just looked ten times better.
One thing that they did pretty well for the season was the introduction of Buddha, one of the fan-favorite characters of the series. He is pretty much the perfect character of the series in my regard. Regarding the Team Fight, that was great; no complaints whatsoever.
Odin vs. Zeus’s theme was definitely enhanced in the anime, the overall purpose of the anime is to enhance the source material from the manga, and they did very well in this. Odin is very mysterious, but his power was better portrayed in Anime, at least in my opinion.
