The wait is finally over as The Real Housewives of Sydney has returned after a gap of 6 years, with brand new cast members and fun activities that are bound to bring out the worst in these extravagant women.
Arena came out with RHOS for the first time in 2017, and the show revolved around rich housewives living in the bustling city of Sydney. Besides their personal and professional lives, the series also brought forth the various kinds of interactions that take place between women with different opinions and perspectives.
Although the Sydney spin-off of this franchise was well received, any new installments being added to it were canceled. Earlier this year, in April, Binge revealed that it was bringing RHOS back, but this time, the wives were going to be different.
For season 2, the housewives include Kate Adams, Tery Biviano, Caroline Gaultier, Victoria Montano, and Sally Obermeder, while season 1’s Krissy and Nicole will be making a comeback.
Recap
Filming for RHOS took place right when The Real Housewives of Melbourne was being filmed. The 10-part series by Arena finally started airing in 2017, with a total of 7 rich housewives being documented.
These women all had a luxurious lifestyle, enjoying the extravagance and cosmopolitan lifestyle of Sydney to the fullest. Right when the first season of RHOS started, Lisa started calling Krissy Chewbacca, and this led to many dramatic interactions between the pair throughout the season.
AthenaX and Victoria didn’t start on good terms well. We’ve seen wealthy wives meet up for lunch, go for dress-coded parties, and prepare for adventurous snorkeling experiences and other activities.
Melissa released her new feature film named Boar and later celebrated AthenaX’s birthday party in the Whitsunday Islands. AthenaX hosted an Art exhibition of her own, only to end up in a heated argument with Krissy.
Since the relationship between the RHOS ladies was getting a bit rocky, Melissa decided to be the savior and took the ladies with her to Singapore. Melissa was invited for a modeling job here, but it was also a great chance for her to decrease the tensions between the other Sydney wives.
After returning, Matty throws a party for her up-and-coming pillow brand, all while Melissa is busy preparing for her next movie scenes. Following the one-of-a-kind interspecies wedding, RHOS season 1 ended with Lisa claiming Krissy had thrown a dead cat in her home.
Victoria stormed off the RHOS set after a tension-filled fight with AthenaX. Nicole talks about the various things that Lisa and the others did to provoke her without any reason.

After more than 5 years, Real Housewives of Sydney returns with a brand-new season on Binge. Seeing the way so many other shows of this franchise end with only one season, there was no hope of RHOS being revived.
It was only on April 2023 that Binge announced it was going to renew RHOS with a new 10-part season featuring new housewives to add more excitement and drama to the reality series.
