Do you remember the movie named Orphan, released in 2009, which focused on an innocent orphan that got adopted by a family, and the child was a 33-year-old cruel dwarf who used her rare hormone disorder to get adopted by several families and murder them. Investigation Discovery has brought a docuseries based on that story.
Investigation Discovery announced the release of detailed documentary series related to Natalia Grace, giving exclusive insights. Natalia was a 33-year-old lady with Spondyloepiphyseal dysplasia that caused dwarfism and made her look like a six-year-old child. Moreover, she got considered a Ukranian orphan.
Natalia Grace was three feet tall, and her disorder tends to affect one’s hearing and vision. It is how the Barnett family of six (Kristine, Michael, and their three kids) living in Indiana got phished to adopt her in 2010.
The riveting and dramatic series will consist of three parts, and the Barnett family will keep explaining how cruel Natalia was and how scary their experiences were with her. ‘The Curios Case Of Natalia’ will help you dive deeper into the headlines made by Natalia’s case, and the story goes as follows.

The Curious Case Of Natalia Grace Plot
The Barnett family adopted Natalia and considered her a poor little orphan. However, Kristine Barnett started getting pieces of evidence that challenged their beliefs. The pieces included traces of the menstrual cycle and improved vocabulary that does not suit a six-year-old child.
The bone density test conducted at the Peyton Manning Children’s Hospital proved that Natalie was more than fourteen. On the other hand, a skeletal survey that occurred at a hospital in 2012 proved that she was only eleven. Natalia’s birth year was 2003, according to the Orphanage, but the Barnetts changed it to 1989.
The Orphanage had enough documents to support the birth year 2003. On the other hand, the tests mentioned that she was older than that. So, we have two stories to think of.
Kristine mentioned how Natalia tried to harm her many times with activities such as mixing bleach with her coffee, pushing her into an electric fence, and threatening the family.
When Natalia Grace started getting treated by professionals to boost her mental health, she agreed to be an adult. However, she did not accept other allegations made by the Barnett family.
According to the trailer of the series, Investigation Discovery’s team will bring the truth, and we might not like it. Till now, Natalia was the villain. However, we will get a new (and real) villain, and the Rubik’s cube will get solved by the end of the series. It will get more dramatic, and it is how Investigation Discovery is on its way to becoming the ultimate destination for criminal stories.
