Christian Cooper, the extraordinary life-long Birder, has arrived to take you to the wonderful and unpredictable wild through the documentary series called ‘Extraordinary Birder’ on National Geographic Wild. He imitates birdsong and has an eagle eye to spot wildlife.
Cooper talks to various experts during his travel across the United States to let you know more about the mysteries and facts related to birds in the documentary series created by Lucky 8. Moreover, he gets ready to do whatever it takes to learn more about the world in the sky and the feathered creatures flying there.
The executive producers of Extraordinary Birder are Jon Kroll, Kimberly Woodard, George Kralovansky, Doug Veith, and Irfan Rahman. The series, with only six episodes, will attract people having experience or interest in spying the flying animals.
Christian Cooper is a 60-year-old American comics and science writer and editor. He works at Health Science Communications as the senior biomedical editor. He found his interest in birdwatching after reading a related book in his childhood.

Extraordinary Birder Plot
In the first episode, Cooper learned more about the extinct and colorful birds by trekking through the rainforest, hiking through the waterfalls, and traveling through the caves of Puerto Rico.
Cooper visited his hometown, New York City, in the second episode. He released the small falcon called ‘Kestrel’ that can deal with difficult situations. Moreover, he also washed a pigeon’s feet and encountered the powerful peregrine falcon chicks.
In the third episode, Hawaii, Cooper will meet the Hawaiian passerine birds called honeycreepers and distinguished hawks. Thus, he will explore the life of the birds on the big island of Hawaii, whose richness gets enhanced by the rocky lava terrain and rainforests.
The fourth episode, Palm Springs, will take Cooper to the oasis of Palm Springs, rich with desert paradise. From hearing the hummingbirds and digging a small house for a little owl to seeing great blue herons, smart ravens, and working raptors, Cooper will take any step to discover the life of these free souls in a ruthless desert.
Cooper will visit the nation’s capital in the fifth episode, Washington DC. He will meet the bald eagle family and a savior owl, help grassland birds create and abode, visit the nest island, and have a look at the other local birds in Washington, DC.
The finale episode, Alabama, will show Cooper visiting the deep south in one of the most bird-friendly and bio-diverse states in the US (it is Alabama). He will watch the kites, eagles, and woodpeckers and learn to drive a tractor.

Extraordinary Birder Episode 1 got premiered on 17 June 2023 (Saturday) at 10/9c, and all further episodes will get aired every Saturday on the National Geographic Channel.
