How to watch D.P K-Drama? “D.P.” which stands for ” Deserter Pursuit,” is the newest released South Korean Drama. How to watch D.P. K-Drama is the main objective of this article. The latest Netflix adaption is based on the webtoon D.P: Dog Days by Kim Bo-tong. Co-written by Kim Bo-tong and Han Jun-hee the series got released on Netflix on August 27, 2021. This South Korean Drama comprises of a stellar cast starring Jung Hae-in, Koo Kyo-hwan, Kim Sung-Kyun, and Son Seok-ko in lead roles. Though Han Jun-hee is the co-writer, he is also the director of this series.

According to the constitution of South Korea, all able-bodied men should serve in the military for at least 2 years. It is a compulsory duty that every citizen of the country has to perform, and citizens must go for their military enlistment between the age group of 18-28. However, last year a bill was passed in the South Korean Parliament allowing Kpop megastars who improve the country’s cultural status and boost the economy to postpone their compulsory enlistment until the age of 30. Many famous and noteworthy Korean dramas got released this year, like Vincenzo, Hospital Playlist Season 2, Law School, Nevertheless, among others.

How to watch D.P K-Drama?

The South Korean drama D.P is aired on its original network, the global streaming site Netflix along with subtitles. If you have any preferred site, you can also refer to this drama there. It has a running time of approximately 45-55 minutes. This mini-drama series has a total of 6 episodes, and it’s gaining rave reviews from the audience. Principal photography started in the summer of the year 2020. September 3, 2020, marked the finalization of the impeccable star cast for the drama, which starred Jung Hae-in, Koo Kyo-hwan, Kim Sung-kyun, and Son Seok-ko.

Jung Hae-in plays the role of Private Ahn Joon-ho, and Koo Kyo-hwan plays the role of Corporal Han Ho-yul. They both team up together and find the deserters.

D.P. K-Drama: Synopsis

The show revolves around Private Ahn Joon-ho and Corporal Han Ho-Yul. The show follows them as we see how while finding the deserters, they engaged themselves in an adventurous journey. Private Ahn Joon-ho is a person who knows how to stand up for himself. He has a quiet as well as an obedient nature, but that does not stop him from not tolerating injustice. The series portrays that though there is the maintenance of discipline behind closed doors, a lot more happens, which is not so desirable.

Bullying, exploitation of power, and how people from the lower hierarchy are being harassed by their superiors are some of the things that the drama tries to show.  It can be so severe that it leaves young recruits traumatized for life. Numerous cases have been found that such bullying has had dire consequences im which the person does not even hesitate to take his own life, and those who somehow manage to stay went berserk. According to director Han Jun-hee, he tries to explain the drama from a realistic point of view as he has also served in the army.

D.P K-Drama: The Cast

Something in the Rain fame actor Jung Hae-in plays the role of Private Ahn Joon-ho. Hae-in officially debuted into the world of entertainment through the series Bride Of the Century. He will be starring in the drama Snowdrop alongside Kim Jisoo, who is a member of the biggest girl group in the world, Blackpink. Koo Kyo-hwan plays the role of Corporal Han Ho-Yul. Kyo-hwan previously started in the political period horror-thriller series Kingdom: Ashin of the North. Reply 1994 fame Kim Sung-Kyun has been cast to play Sergeant First Class Park Bum-go and Be Melodramatic fame plays Captain Im -Ji sup.

Alongside them, Lee Jun-young as Jung Hyun-min, Hong Kyung as Ryu Yi-Kang, Cho Hyun-Chul as Jo Seok-bong, and Shin Seung-ho as Hwang Jang-soo plays the supporting cast.
