The wait for a sequel to Enchanted has lasted 15 years, but it is now ended with the release of Disenchanted. Giselle and Robert are reunited in the sequel 15 years following their happily ever after. Disaffected with city life, they relocate to Monroeville, a suburban neighborhood, in quest of a better way of life.
Giselle, who is dissatisfied with her existence, turns to magic in an attempt to find a solution after realizing there might not be a quick resolution to her issues. Accidentally becoming a real-life fairytale, Monroeville turns out not to be as magical as it first appears.
Several significant characters from the musical “Enchanted” 2007 are present in “Disenchanted.” The returning characters King Edward, Giselle, Robert, and Queen Nancy are all played again by Patrick Dempsey, Amy Adams, James Marsden, and Idina Menzel respectively. But How To Watch Disenchanted?
Disenchanted Plot
Disenchanted catches up with Giselle, Robert (her husband), and Morgan (her stepdaughter) leaving their New York City home for the city of Monroeville. Disenchanted is set 10 years after Enchanted. The family first meets Malvina Monroe, the community’s leader, when they get to their new house, and it quickly becomes clear that she shouldn’t be trusted. Giselle and her family face issues shortly after. Giselle really wants a beautiful fairytale to restore her happiness. She must use all of her resources to save the people she loves well before the clock strikes midnight as her plan goes horribly wrong.
Enchanted Recap
As we’ve already established, Disenchanted is the 2007 film Enchanted’s sequel. The original film begins when Giselle is forced through a portal by the wicked Queen Narissa, and it is a contemporary retelling of fairytale princess legends like Snow White and Cinderella. Giselle’s new true love, Prince Edward, has a stepmother named Narissa. Giselle and Edward’s union will result in Narissa losing her crown. Giselle is taken through the portal to the actual city of New York, where she meets the cynical divorce attorney Robert and his daughter Morgan.
Robert offers to assist Giselle in getting back to Andalasia and locating Edward, who used the portal soon after learning what had happened. But when Robert gradually warms up to Giselle and she realizes that life is not always ideal, the well-known cliche “opposites attract” comes to pass. The movie finishes with Robert and Giselle exchanging a genuine love kiss and starting their happily ever after, just like the majority of well-loved romances. After fifteen years since the release of Enchanted, Disenchanted will finally give anxious fans an opportunity to see what comes after the happily ever after.

Should I Watch Enchanted Before Watching Disenchanted?
Despite being a sequel, Enchanted is not absolutely necessary to see before Disenchanted. The premise and plot of Disenchanted appear to be completely unique based on what we currently know about it. However, given that the majority of the characters from the previous movie are expected to return, some backstory would be helpful.
It might be a great thing to watch Enchanted if you want to be completely up-to-date with everything because, like most sequels, there will undoubtedly be numerous Easter eggs and inside jokes buried throughout.
