The writer, Han Woo-joo, has come up with a crime, drama, and comedy story through the upcoming South Korean TV series called ‘Delightfully Deceitful.’ The two words mean ‘beneficial fraud,’ where the fraudster claims something he is not entitled to, and the protagonist will try her best to do it.
Lee Soo-Hyun is the director, while Kim Gyeo-re and Park Eun-Kyung are the producers of the series. Meanwhile, Soo Jae-Hyeon will remain busy as an executive producer. The series is expected to have sixteen episodes getting aired from 29 May 2023 (Monday) to 18 July 2023 (Tuesday).
The main cast of the series includes Mo Jae-in (played by Park So-jin), Han Moo-young (played by Kim Dong-Wook), Go Yo-han (played by Yoon Park), and Lee Ro-Eum (played by Chun Woo-hee). Jung Da-Jeong (played by Lee Yeon), Ryu Jae-Hyeok (played by Choi Young-Joon), Jang Kyung-ja (played by Lee Tae-ran), Kang Kyung-ho (played by Lee Hae-young), and more come under the supporting cast.
The trailer is the leading official support for the fans to know more about the series, and they are worried whether the crime series will have a romance between the main couple because they feel that romance has got decreased in K-dramas nowadays. Instead, the show makers add romance as a complementary genre as the series goes on.
Kim Dong Wook’s fans know that he will be competing against his drama ‘My Perfect Stranger’ after the release of ‘Delightfully Deceitful.’ Moreover, both dramas will get aired on the same day. So, fans will have a hard time choosing between the both.

Delightfully Deceitful Synopsis
The love story takes place between an empathetic lawyer and a fraudster who has a revenge story with no empathy at all. The lawyer has compassion and empathy toward the fraudster’s situation, just like he does for others. Moreover, he observes others’ mental states and gets affected by physical abnormalities. Thus, they both are opposite but get involved in the story together.
The fraudster, who has no empathy, has made a fortune this way. She justifies vengeance as an act of justice that was present before the birth of the law. But it does not mean she must keep taking others’ lives.
According to Kim Dong Wook, the lead actor, the series will mesmerize you with the out-of-the-box direction, cinematography, and cast. It will bring a combination of emotions and thrill. According to the poster, you will find Chun Woo-hee sitting on a sofa with a revolver in her hand placed on a pile of documents. The top-most document has ‘NAVIS Well-being’ written on it.
On the other hand, Kim Dong-Wook is sitting on the floor with the company’s balance sheet. Thus, the two lead actors must be related to the company named ‘NAVIS Well-being.’ Similarly, Kim Dong-wook has an empathetic gaze that cannot be seen on Chun Woo-hee’s face.
Lee Ro-Eum is a born genius and was known as the child prodigy. She spent some years in jail after getting called an evil psychopath for parricide. Lee begins with her revenge story, using her abilities to take revenge after getting out of jail. She pays attention only to the relationships and situations that bring benefits to her.
The tricky part for Chun Woo-hee was to empathize with the character with no empathy. She used colors, make-up, and a different look to change into a whole new character. According to the teaser, Lee will show us the difference between a con artist and an attorney.
Han Moo-young has excessive empathy toward others. Thus, every day brings a new challenge for him. He appears cool from the outside but keeps struggling due to his nature from the inside. Let us see whether he performs his duties as an attorney or sympathizes with Lee and overlooks her crime.
