Who Was Minato Namikaze? All About The Character
Minato Namikaze is one of the most important characters of the popular manga and anime series, “Naruto.” Besides being the father of the main character of the show, “Naruto Uzumaki,” on whose name the show is based, he was also the fourth Hokage of the Hidden Leaf Village.
Minato Namikaze was born on the 25th of January. He was one of the best Ninjas in the world. His talent and skills were exceptional. According to Jiraiya, who himself is one of the greatest Ninjas in his own generation, Minato Namikaze was unparalleled. He was a genius at all his arts and possessed abilities that enemies feared.
Minato had large Chakra reserves. He had incredible abilities and mastery of techniques such as the Flying Thunder God. His inhumane speed also earned him the title of “Konoha’s Yellow Flash.”
Being the fourth Hokage of the Leaf Village, everyone looked up to him, and it was his responsibility to protect his village at all costs. He was the one who single-handedly ended the third Ninja War, saving his village in the process. No warrior had the ability to match him, and in fact, the enemies had the order to “flee on sight.”
Minato was so formidable that no enemy could kill Minato him. It was, in fact, the Jutsu he cast himself to contain the Nine-Tailed Fox that demanded a human sacrifice. Minato Namikaze died in the process of containing the beast, thus sacrificing his own life for his village and also protecting his child, Naruto Uzumaki.
How Did Minato Die? The Events That Led To His Death
Minato eventually died at the age of 24 years, on the 10th of October, the day the Third Ninja War ended. He had served as the Hokage of Leaf Village for around 1-1.5 years before his death.
Minato had the responsibility to protect his village in the time of an attack. A mysterious man by the name of Tobi summoned the Nine-Tailed Fox, which was bent on destroying the whole Leaf village. The masked man Tobi, and Minato Namikaze, fight out an immense battle, which involves the use of the best of their abilities.
In the battle featuring two great Ninjas, Minato realized that Tobi’s fast movements surpassed his own Jutsu of Flying Raijin. Every moment when Minato tries to land a blow on Tobi, he uses his teleportation Jutsu of Kamui. As the fight goes on, Minato realizes that Tobi is most vulnerable when Tobi himself prepares for an attack on Minato.
Minato eventually got the better of Tobi with his Flying Raijin teleportation technique. He then used the reverse seal to finally separate the Nine-Tailed Beast from Tobi. After defeating Tobi, Minato went back to his village, where he found his wife, Kushina, and his New Born Son, Naruto.
He took them away from the village along with the Nine-Tailed Beast bomb to secure the village. He then proceeded to perform the forbidden Jutsu of Reaper Death Seal, which demanded a life sacrifice. He sealed half of the Nine-Tailed Beast inside of him, and the other was sealed by him inside his newborn son, Naruto. He did this because he knew that Tobi was not an ordinary Ninja and would definitely return sometime in the future.
Minato knew that his son, Naruto, had his abilities and had the ability to be a great Ninja in the future, who could stop a future attack on the Leaf village by Tobi.
