Queen Mary Death Cause
It was on 17 November 1558 when Queen Mary passed away. She was then 42 years old, and it was very early for someone to die. When it comes to the major cause of her death suddenly, Queen Mary was struggling with abdominal pain. Later, it was suspected that she was suffering from uterine or ovarian cancer. In addition to this, she died because of the flu during an influenza epidemic. She suffered from false pregnancies, not just once but many times. She had no child and was frustrated, dealing with the pain. That was not that easy bearing it quite often. Even the natural cause made her break down physically before a few months of her death.
Queen Mary started to become weak and fell ill in May 1558. Things started to deteriorate. At the time of her death, she was at St. James’s Palace. In her will, she stated that she would like to get buried right beside her mother. However, her body was interred in Westminster Abbey. People knew her majorly for her religious persecutions of Protestants. Also, her executions of more than 300 subjects were pretty much noticeable to all. Queen Mary was succeeded by her half-sister, Elizabeth, on the throne.
