HoYoverse has announced that Honkai: Star Rail Version 4.5, “To Roll the Stars in Astropolis,” will launch on August 26, 2026. The new update moves the Trailblazer from the crisis surrounding Planarcadia to Astropolis, the headquarters of the Interastral Peace Corporation, where a new conflict involving the Voracity awaits.
The update combines a continuation of the main storyline with a much lighter summer adventure. The Trailblazer will navigate Astropolis’ complicated corporate hierarchy while searching for the power needed to protect Planarcadia, before also enjoying an interstellar vacation alongside Robin and Aventurine.
Version 4.5 was officially detailed ahead of its launch, with HoYoverse confirming new playable characters, events, gameplay additions and several collaborations.
Robin and Aventurine Get New 5-Star Forms
The first major addition is Robin • Summeretto, a 5-star Wind character following the Path of Remembrance. In the story, Robin has become head of the Oak Family following Sunday’s departure from Penacony and travels to Astropolis while secretly investigating Gopher Wood’s legacy.
Her combat kit centers on building Vibes as teammates take actions. Once enough Vibes are accumulated, Robin can put the team into a “Fever Pitch,” strengthening allies as they continue attacking. Her Ultimate can also immediately advance a selected teammate’s action and restore Energy.
The second half introduces Aventurine • Waveflair, a 5-star Quantum character following the Path of Elation. Rather than functioning like the original Aventurine, this version attacks using beach-themed abilities, including a beach volleyball and surfing attacks, while generating Punchline and Fervor to trigger additional Elation Skills.
Hyacine will receive a rerun during the first half, while Ashveil returns during the second half. The associated Light Cones include “Rise and Sing,” “A Little Getaway” and “Summer Rides the Surf.”

New Events and Collaborations Arrive in Version 4.5
Version 4.5 also introduces the racing event Overdrive: Whirlwind Grand Prix, where the Trailblazer becomes a team principal. The Minuscule Great Adventure event adds smaller stage-based challenges, while Divergent Universe receives new gameplay content.
Players will also get the “Planar Fissure” and “Realm of the Strange” double-drop events, plus new Trailblaze Fashion. A new option will also allow players to speed up story dialogue, with the feature toggleable at any time.
HoYoverse has additionally announced a collaboration with MOONDROP, featuring Sparxie-themed merchandise and events across multiple regions. Later in 2026, Honkai: Star Rail will also cross over with Zenless Zone Zero, bringing characters from the action RPG into a new cosmic adventure.
