Here We Meet Again: Plot
Chinese rom-com drama, Here We Meet Again, which is adapted from the novel, “Three Fields,” chronicles the life of Xiang Yuan, a girl who was born in the wealthy family of Donghe Group. Since childhood, she has been smart and intelligent and aspires to be a part of her family business one day. While in school, Xiang Yuan crushes on a guy named Xu Yan Shi, but he never does understand her affection for him.
After so many years, Xiang Yuan is called to one of the branches of Donghe Group, which is on the verge of getting drowned in bankruptcy soon. Xiang Yuan has responsibility on her shoulders to save the branch getting bankruptcy. However, she soon gets to know that this is not the only problem she has, as she gets encounters her childhood crush, Xu Yun Shi, once again at her workplace.
At first, Xiang Yuan finds working with Yun Shi a little awkward, but soon they become best friends. Xiang Yuan gets to know that Yun Shi wants to become a navigation engineer and struggling to work at Donghe Group because of the discrimination that he is facing. Xiang Yuan and Xu Yan Shi work together on the struggles that they come across and together work on their careers and aspirations.
Here We Meet Again: Ending Explained
At the end of Here, We Meet Again, we see that the research of Donghe Intelligent Medical Treatment System has been done, and Zhou Yuchen has finally taken over Yan Shi’s position to become a new CTO. On the other hand, Xu Yan Shi sees his dream of becoming a Navigation Engineer coming true as he receives the offer from the academy.
After meeting Professor Liang Qin, who was angry with Xu Yan Shi for almost missing the re-examination, Yan Shi finally received admission to National Navigation Research Centre.

On the other hand, it is Shi Tianyou who brought Chen Shu and Gao Leng together. Shi Tianyou gets frustrated over the two not getting reconciled. So he tells Chen Shu everything about the feelings of Gao Leng, which helps both repair their relationship. Finally, we get to see a steamy kiss between Gao Leng and Chen Shu. Back in Xiang Yuan’s workplace, she decides to reveal her identity as Situ Ming Tian’s granddaughter.
As Yan Shi gets so busy with his new work, he always arrives home late. One day when Yan Shi goes for a bath, Xiang Yuan finds a ring in his coat, thinking that he is going to propose to her. So, she adds a little touch to her lips using the lipstick, but Yan Shi has not found the right time yet. He lets Xiang Yuan know that he is going on a business trip to Xichang, so he will not be able to spend some days with her, which disappoints Xiang Yuan.
The work which Xu Yan Shi went for, the biggest satellite launch in China, succeeds with utmost happiness and enthusiasm. All Yan Shi’s loved ones celebrate the national victory and feel proud of Yan Shi. The reporters arrive at the facility to take an interview the scientists, and when the interviewers ask Yan Shi about how he is planning to celebrate the day, he proposes to Xiang Yuan on national television with a ring in his hands.
On the other hand, Yang Pingshan and Li Qin, who have been involved in public embezzlement crimes, get arrested. Xiang Yuan and Xu Yan Shi get married and have a son, Xu Yancheng, who is as clever as his parents.
Will There Be Season 2 of Here We Meet Again?
After seeing the leads Xu Yan Shi and Xiang Yuan leading happily ever after at the end of Here We Meet Again, fans have been curious if there will be a season 2 to this amazing show. As the show has a happy ending, the probability of Here We Meet again having a second season is very less, as even the creators of the show have not made any announcement regarding this.
