He knows that he wouldn’t be able to evade punishment, but he can use this opportunity to do what he wants without getting under fire for breaking the rules. Of course, he also knows that he shouldn’t display the full extent of his powers just like that, either, since it could bring more trouble.
Poor Helmut didn’t even have the money right now, but Alea told him that he could lend it to him. Helmut had money, but he had it stashed somewhere else, so he promised Alea to pay him back during the weekend. Alea also volunteers to go with him to buy the books.
