What Is the premise of Hellraiser 2022
Just after sleazy millionaire Roland Voight persuades an innocent person to solve the Lament Sequence, Hellraiser (2022) begins with a new phase of unearthly images (Goran Visnjic). Those aware of the significance of the puzzle box’s past will quickly see that this is a deliberate commitment because the Lament Sequence takes victims in exchange for the puzzle box owner’s request.
It’s worth noting that the box’s present owner, Voight, sees the sky-glass panels of his house darkened after the guy passes away. Voight’s home also features an operational cage that serves as a Lament Configuration.
Riley visits the Berkshire mansion of missing wealthy art collector Roland Voight due to her inquiry into the evolving puzzle box, which has six distinct phases and offers a “Viewers with God” after the conclusion.
The interior has been wired with innumerable drop-down doors that can be opened and closed at the touch of a switch, and the cleaned pearly design is now coated with an iron casing that mimics the designs on Riley’s container.
Riley is hopeful some solutions can safeguard lives in Voight’s house because The Priest, alias Pinhead, has offered her the option of sacrificing herself or others to save the box’s lust for blood. She discovers a maze of similar horrors.
Who Stars In Hellraiser 2022?
Odessa A’zion or Riley McKendry
Riley McKendry is a youngster who is struggling. While battling addiction and trying to get some quick cash, Riley discovers a weird puzzle box. Riley is tasked with discovering what happened when her sibling, Matt, vanishes after having come into contact with the container.
Actor Odessa A’zion made her acting debut in Nashville as Liv. In Grand Army, A’zion later played Joey Del as Shannon from the Fam.
Jamie Clayton or The Priest
The film’s primary enemy is The Priest. We also know him as the “Pinhead.” The Priest is among the Cenobites, the extraterrestrial demons from the Hellraiser films that enjoy dominance, submission, and the study of suffering.
The Priest is a unisex being, just like Barker’s character, with pins along their face’s skin, a distinguishing trait that gave them their name. Jamie Clayton, an actress better remembered for her performances on Sense8, plays Pinhead in Hellraiser 2022.
Matt McKendry or Brandon Flynn.
He is Riley’s brother, and he vanishes after getting into a fight with his sister.
Trev or Drew Starkey.
He is Riley’s lover, whom Matt detests because he drinks in Riley’s presence and finds the puzzle box with her.
Faison or Colin Adam
He lives with Riley and is Matt’s lover.
Nora or Aoife Hinds.
This person shares a residence with Matt, Riley, & Colin.
Goran Vinci plays Roland Vought. The puzzle box mystery is centered on a bizarre billionaire.
Hellraiser 2022: What happens in the Climax?
Riley’s lover Trevor received a large payment from Roland Voight, who is still alive, to entice further volunteers into the box’s grasp. Additionally, Roland is equipped with a golden device that sticks out of his ribs and into his vertebrae like an ax and pulls his neurons around its turning parts.
After solving the challenge, he decided on the Liminal arrangement, which translates to Sensation. However, the Cenobites’ gift is not earthly joy but rather the misery of death. Since the equipment has been pulling Roland’s nerves in opposing directions, he has been able to feel the right amount of pain while avoiding numbness.
Intentionally evil behavior is demonstrated by Roland’s decision to designate Colias a tribute rather than the stranded Asphyx Cenobite. He is motivated by greed that puts the lives of innocent people at peril to save himself, and he doesn’t care about anything or anyone besides rescuing himself from the Cenobites’ gadget.

Roland’s actions call the Cenobites—they are not renegade carnivores. He must decide whether to accept responsibility or not. Roland fails to do so and taunts the Cenobites as a result. Clayton’s piranha eyes and echoing voice express annoyance as he listens to Roland cry as his cogs go through another agonizing round.
Roland fulfills his “forgiveness” wish but at a terrible price: Pinhead gives him the Leviathan present of Strength. Roland’s festering wound begins to close as the final broken bolt bounces off the tile floor, but then a huge chain bursts through his ceiling and penetrates his chest.
The Cenobite keeping Colin captive reminds Riley that as long as she controls the box, she gets to decide who is sacrificed. She can label Trevor the distillation of Matt’s legacy, or she will let Colin go, eliminating the final trace of her brother Matt from reality and perhaps releasing some guilt.
Riley chooses Trevor. It doesn’t take long for the wires to tie him, strain him against a marble platform, shave the skin off his forearm and haul him into the Cenobites’ lair of painful cries. Returning to the main area, Riley approaches Pinhead and is allowed to select her reward.
Riley can make another impulsive choice that resolves an issue right away, yet, like with Trev, Riley experiences emotional growth. She rejects Pinhead’s gifts, recalling Roland’s earlier claim that none of their gifts brought bliss.
Riley admits that selecting Lazarus didn’t make Matt the person who cared for her come back. Riley is now at home trying to better herself amid a lifetime of searing remorse and terrible recollections of those she’s injured – no longer chasing supernatural diversions — thanks to her decision to disregard Pinhead’s talents.
The final scene features Roland becoming a Cenobite. Pinhead remarks that Roland is not as deserving as she first thought because he laments extreme pain that other Cenobites might drool over. Pinhead knows that Roland will accept this elevation as a gift, but he might hate the perpetual torment as a penalty for disrespecting their kindness.
The Cenobites benefit in both situations. Riley is given a second chance at life and escapes damnation. Still, Roland is now working for Pinhead as a servant to his obsessive impulses and experiencing things that only the fortunate few will ever experience.
Hellraiser 2022 Ending Explained
While hiding in Voight’s enclosed home, Colin, Riley, and Trevor elude the Cenobites. Riley planned to venture outside the house with Colin, entice a Cenobite indoors, and then kill it with the puzzle container’s blade to reveal its standards are based, knowing that they would eventually have to face the Cenobites.
They had no idea that Trevor had always had plans to abandon them because he had already made a deal with Voight. Then Riley’s strategy is unsuccessful, and Voight’s evil plan succeeds when he hits Trevor with a platforming puzzle & spills his blood on it. The Priest, also known as Pinhead, appears just before the last sacrifice is about to be made and gives Voight his next boon.
Voight is disappointed to learn that when he begs Priest to liberate him from his Liminal setup, the Priest says the configuration will only be changed. Voight ultimately decides to substitute his Liminal setup with Leviathan.
With that, he is freed from his nerve-wracking device, but shortly after, a chain flies out of his roof and slices into his chest. The Priest then makes the vile remark, “We have such things to show you,” as it drags him into Hell. In the interim, Riley stabs Trevor with the puzzle box to substitute Trevor for Colin as the ultimate victim.
She receives a boon from the Priest as payment for solving the puzzle box, yet she declines his gift since she realizes there is a catch. She has, by nature, selected the Lament setting, which implies she will have to spend her life with the guilt of harming her family members, says the Pinhead.
The Cenobites then depart, leaving Riley to ponder whether or not she made the correct decision. Voight is subjected to the horrifying effects of his design choice as a strong force impales and pricks him, turning him into a Cenobite.
Where Did The box come from?
This box belonged to Roland Voight, an entrepreneur. He tricks a young person into visiting his museum and taking up the box in the film’s opening scene. He is cut by a tiny blade that emerges, signaling the Cenobites to approach and retrieve their soul. It works so beautifully. They sneak into Voight’s storage system. He is thought to be deceased or missing. Once individuals take the container, the process repeats itself.
