Nintendo Switch 2 owners will have to wait a little longer to play Hell is Us, as publisher Nacon and developer Rogue Factor have officially delayed the game’s release by two weeks.
Instead of launching on September 24, 2026, the action-adventure title will now arrive on October 8, 2026. The announcement confirms that the delay is not due to development issues but rather to a decision to avoid an increasingly crowded release calendar.
Hell is Us Gets a New Launch Date
In a message shared with players via Hell is Us’ X post, the developers emphasized that the project remains on schedule despite the revised release date. The team stated,
“Everything is on track. Still, we have decided to postpone the release from September 24 to October 8, 2026. Exactly two weeks!”
The statement further explained that
“September 2026 is very busy in terms of game releases,”
making October a better launch window for both the studio and players.
The delay affects only the Nintendo Switch 2 version, giving the game a less competitive release period while preserving its planned launch this fall.
What is Hell is Us About?
Developed by Rogue Factor and published by Nacon, Hell is Us is a third-person action-adventure game set in a war-torn nation plagued by mysterious supernatural creatures. Players explore a semi-open world with minimal guidance, relying on observation rather than maps or quest markers to uncover the story.
Combat focuses on melee weapons such as swords, spears, and axes, alongside a drone companion that assists during encounters. The game’s exploration-first philosophy and emphasis on player discovery have helped it stand out among upcoming action titles.
Although the release has slipped by just two weeks, the developers reiterated that they are eager for players to experience everything the game has to offer when it launches on October 8, 2026.
