So what has happened in this manga so far? The last chapter, the 43rd one, was named “The Defense of Varka.” The chapter opens with a powerful scene where the soldiers can only wonder if this is Kohaku’s true power. They note that this massive power is similar to when their divergent swords had gone berserk.
It is revealed that this power is actually a mix of Kohaku and Idia’s abilities, and they grow stronger together. While the commencement of the end of this messed up the world is celebrated, it is also revealed that if Idia fails to utilize his powers properly, he may risk his life.
Their supporters can only sit and believe in Idia and Volundio’s power. Kohaku, Idia, and Volundio are doing everything in their power to maintain an equilibrium. Cleo screams at Kohaku to stop what she is doing, but she is resolved to save him no matter what happens as she vows to.
Cleo threatens Volundio that if anything were to happen to Kohaku, he would pay dearly for it. All this is soon interrupted by a shooting pain in both Cleo’s and Idia’s heads. There seems to be some sort of flashback where we see Blacksmith Volundio vowing never to make tools that are meant to kill and cause destruction. He may have done so in the past and even might have been careless, but he was doing better now.
The human race has brought disaster upon itself through war and everything of that sort. Now it is the time to protect, not destroy. Idia remembers the name “Volundio” from the flashback and tries to stop the circumstances while Kohaku attacks him to stop him from doing so.
